Ranking The NFL's 32 Projected Starting Quarterbacks - SBNation.com
"5. Drew Brees, Saints. The defending Super Bowl MVP will put up big numbers, as usual, but is competing in an improved NFC South, and gets Baltimore and Pittsburgh as well. Tough schedule, but he'll persevere."
The author states he is ranking the NFL's quarterbacks based solely on QB rating - "that complex formula that maxes out at 158.3 and is used to gauge quarterback play" but pushes last years top rated QB into 5th due to a tough schedule.

Dude had a perfect rating against the patriots last year and was also the most acurate passer ever
Obviously two tougher defenses means he’ll drop that much huh. The rest of our schedule is still pretty easy. Guess he didn’t notice that. Peppers is gone from two divisional games. Brees numbers will be fine. He’s just trying predict the next explosive stud qb and not realizing Brees is here to stay.

OK, I know we’re all homers here, but seriously, what is this guy smoking? Do we need to call the narc squad to check his house? Phillip Rivers, the choke artist extraordinaire, who makes Peyton’s playoff issues look like a minor speed bump, is rated #1 overall? Okaaaaay.
And I don’t care how easy the Viqueen’s schedule will be, it can’t be any easier than last years’ was. Thus it will be harder, and thus by definition Favre won’t have it as easy as he did last year and expecting his performance to improve against a harder schedule is kinda dumb there.
And I’m sorry, but putting Flacco, who’s actually managed to win 3 playoff games already, five slots behind Ryan, who hasn’t even won one yet, is just flat moronic.
I’ll leave off now before I give myself an aneurysm.
Also, Rivers is only averaging 1.775 less than Brees over the last four seasons and just put up back-to-back 100.0+ campaigns, something Brees has yet to do. I don’t think it’s THAT much of a stretch to predict he’ll put up comparable numbers once again.

I pity the fool who wrote this once Stujo sees that Rivers is ranked no. 1
I’m sensing an onslaught on the horizon. These rankings are the best joke I’ve heard all month.

Hi, I’m Brian Galliford from Buffalo Pattie Rumblings…. No, I can’t do it. My first thought was “He may very well be right in putting Rivers at #1. He’s a better QB than I give him credit for”. Then I thought, BuffaloHead is using the QB rating to rank them. Who does that? It’s stupid and ultimately meaningless. So how do you judge a QB??? Hmmm… Well, the only thing that matters to me is Fantasy Football!!! So let’s use that… With standard scoring, for the 2009 regular season, it’s Aaron Rodgers way out in front, Brees 2nd, Matt Schaub a close 3rd. Rivers is 9th. For 2010? Who the hell knows. Probably pretty much the same.
Boy do I hate Philip Rivers. Not Lito Sheppard hate, because Rivers actually is a respectable athlete who probably gets the appropriate amount of accolades. But if he was the service manager at my local Honda dealership, I’d somehow get him fired.
Can't think what I've just said

Very bad rankings
not only is Brees under rated but so is Mathew Stafford of the Lions and Mark Sanchez of the jets
