just don't let him hold a promissory note

So wait...
Because he signed on as a guarantor to a loan for someone’s failed business venture, and is now working with legal representatives in order to pay off the creditors, he’s a delinquent bum?
I guess I misunderstood the terminology.
All things aside, Brunell was as solid a backup you can hope to keep in this league. I guarantee he has been a good assistant to Drew and overall was a positive influence to this team.
Good luck getting that Sanchez kid going Mark. Make $$ while you still can. You weren’t going to get it here.
He's no Art Schlichter
And as a side note – Joel Smeenge, another principal in this drama, was originally drafted out of Central Michigan…maybe Western Michigan (? – one of the more obscure Michigan schools) )by the Saints.

Brunell was as solid a backup
Solid like my morning constitution. The Saints paid him a whole lot of $$$ for nothing, as we realized in week 17 last year. He was washed up in 2006. I’m happy to flush him away.
Can't think what I've just said
Put the soft pillow on my head
Fun fact
Raymond Burr’s morning constitution was know as “Old Ironside’s”.

my favorite part
“He wished he didn’t sign it, but he did”

your honor, he is an idiot, but he is sorry
