Saints Sign Joe Horn
Yes, you read that headline correctly. 'Hollywood' Joe Horn is back in black....and gold! Don't have much information yet but Greg Bensel broke the news just minutes ago via Twitter. And when Bensel tweets, you listen.
Saints sign WR Joe Horn to a contract; will retire a Saint!
Looks like it's purely a gentleman's move so that Horn can retire as a New Orleans Saint. I don't think he's actually going to play.
Horn was recently inducted to the New Orleans Saints hall of fame this past May.
What do you guys think!?

Classy
I like it. How could anyone other than Falcon’s fans not like this? Welcome home, Joe! Say what you will about him, but he was always entertaining on the field and usually gave great effort when he wasn’t nursing an injury. Remember this ridiculous moment?

A Chiefs’ fan might take exception it, being that KC was his original team.

4 years with the Chiefs. I remember someone telling me she was sorry to see him leave the Chiefs and that the Saints were getting a special player.

I do hate that he left KC
but he had his best years as a Saint so I dotn hold it against him..Congrats to Joe and a great career!
You guys got Willie Roaf, Morten Andersen, Kyle Turley, Barry Word, Bennie Thompson … really no room to b****.

My man
Joe Horn was my favorite player to ever wear the black and gold. Yea I love Deuce and Drew is my hero, but Joe Horn was a reason to watch back when the Saints weren’t exactly powerhouses. I loved his cell phone bit (Kind of showy, but it was against the Giants, my dad’s favorite team, so I ate it up). And there were times it seemed as if he was the only one who had an interest in winning games.
I was devastated when Payton sent him off and to this day don’t really trust him to treat our players with the class they deserve, but this is def. a step in the right direction. Good move Sean/Mickey and welcome back home Joe!!! Much love from wHo DaT nation…
I think they should let him compete for a roster spot in training camp. No real harm until cut down dates roll around. He could take a lot of the reps in the final preseason game, when you’re just trying to avoid getting players injured anyway. Maybe he’ll catch a meaningless TD from Chase Daniel and go out with a grin.

Joe Horn-WR- Saints Jun. 25 – 11:19 am
Ex-Saints WR Joe Horn will announce his retirement from football after signing a one-day contract with New Orleans. The pride of Itawamba Community College, Horn toiled in obscurity for one year in the CFL and four years with the Chiefs before the Saints stole him as a free agent in 2000. “Hollywood” immediately became a star in New Orleans, setting the Saints’ single-season receiving marks for yards (1,399) and TDs (11) while finishing 55th in NFL history with 8,744 yards. He’s perhaps best remembered for a 2003 incident in which he pulled out a cellphone for a mock phone call as a TD celebration.

I might have been the only one
and my boys gave me crap about it, but I LOVED THE PHONE BIT!!!! I look at sports as entertainment. I was in the Army (11 Bravo) so it ain’t war, it ain’t the military, it’s not college so all the discipline that you apply to kids ain’t necessary, and these guys make all that money to entertain me. I spend my hard earned money to see it so damnit entertain me, dance when you can, turn flips all that, just stay focused. Now that’s just me and I know I sit on an island with that one, and respect everybody’s view on it. But you are looking at a real TRUE Hollywood Joe Horn fan me. Geaux Get em big Joe!!
I'm a fan of the move.
I can’t see how anyone wouldn’t be! Yes, he ran his mouth once he left the Saints and rubbed some fans the wrong way, but I think he always knew and appreciated the love most of the fans of New Orleans showed him. Since he spent his best years with us, he should be entitled to retire a SAINT!

Where does he rank amongst Saints All time WR's?
2nd Behind Eric Martin….Eventually Colston will pass him but Horn was legit while in a Saints uniform in my opinion.
yup, Horn just caught the damn ball - a lot!

meh
good for Joe Horn. Hopefully it won’t cause Salary Cap problems. Maybe this is the reason McCray was let go – we needed the cap room to sign Hollywood Horn.

I'm no expert on all the intricacies of NFL rules,
but isn’t the “gunner” on special teams the only one who is allowed to do that?
