3. Cowboys — This team boasts enviable depth. If it can survive its early schedule — including a highly anticipated rematch with Minnesota in Week 1 — watch out.
Huh?
"We've got 27 ways to add up to 11 (players on the field). I came up with another one last night." -- Greg Williams
Not really over that.
I would like to pummel them over their bungled “upgrades” to the history archives on the site. Use to be you could look back at game logs and all sorts of other useful info very easily. Last I checked however, half of it was broken links.
Hopefully that’s either already fixed or will be soon… but I’m not holding my breath either.
Sounds like grudge list material!
Fat, dumb, and happy. Hell, two out of three ain't bad!

In response to this article...
I’ll let Leslie Nielsen answer for me: Nothing to see here.
It’s getting to the point where I don’t even bother to read nfl.com articles anymore. Everything seems so short-sighted and poorly researched.
"As soon as Tony (Dungy) said we had no chance, I knew we had 'em right where we wanted 'em"--Coach Sean Payton right after Super Bowl XLIV with the Lombardi Trophy firmly in hand. WHO DAT!!

he had the panthers as the 30th team
i dont see them winning less than 7 games this year. is he counting on a lot of injuries or something?
and what “enviable depth” is he talking about for the cowboys?

Chargerosis again
Wyche is obviously in Stage 3 Chargerosis (“San Diego is the greatest team in the universe!”). This causes such damage to the brain that critical thinking becomes increasingly difficult, no matter what the subject. Hence, Atlanta is ranked ahead of New Orleans, and the Panthers are ranked below Detroit. Wyche is beyond help.
I know who i am! I'm the dude playing the dude disguised as another dude!
Detroit could have a solid year this year, if everybody does what they’re supposed to do. As long as nobody completely screws up, I see them almost at .500
"Hey, the offensive linemen are the biggest guys on the field, they're bigger than everybody else, and that's what makes them the biggest guys on the field."-John Madden
Wow… that’s a big improvement.
I think they’ve added the players they need to be an “almost .500” team, but will the coaching be good enough to get them to 6 or 7 wins?
I don’t think so, myself; but stranger things have happened.

Saints do better when their ranked lower. You want your team pissed. The whole "they dont respect us" crap.
This is a great thing. Im a Dallas fan and I would rather be ranked out of the top 10.

Ranking us 8th is just about right.
You guys need to relax and lay off the caffeine. Are the Chargers the best all around team…no but let’s face it the media loves the powder blues. And if you think the Cowboys aren’t a type 5 team on paper…you’re kidding yourselves.
OK, so let’s see, if a pro team is type 1, UFL is type 2, college is type 3, and HS is type 4… then what is a type 5 team?
LOL
Ok, ok, typos happen. “type 5” = top 5. But since you brought it up…type 5 would be your junior varsity in your particular ranking system. Though i think you’re missing some CFL and AFL in your rankings somewhere in near your UFL mix.
