New Orleans Saints Q&A: Fullback Jason McKie
Times-Pic
What is your best football memory?
"My favorite memory is back in '06 when I was with the Bears. We made it to the Super Bowl. We didn't win it, but just going to the Super Bowl was a blessing in itself. So that's my best football memory. It was unbelievable. Just the fans there, just the whole hoopla surrounding the Super Bowl, the media that come to it, everything. It was definitely a good experience."
I don't think I like this guy. Bad answer.

He did at least two things right:
1. He did not mention the Saints.
2. He did mention the Bears losing in the Super Bowl.
Fat, dumb, and happy. Hell, two out of three ain't bad!

Brees told FanHouse:
"It was very much that – ’We’re not here just to be here. We’re here to win this game. This is the mission we set out on a long time ago and let’s get our minds right, start focusing on doing whatever we’ve got to do to win this game.’
“Nobody remembers who loses that game. And that was a big part of the message. Nobody ever remembers who lost. They only remember who won.”
In his new book, “Home Team,” Payton identified Tracy Porter, Bobby McCray, Roman Harper, Usama Young and Jermon Bushrod as latecomers to the media day event. He then told the team he didn’t see the discipline necessary to win the Super Bowl:
“My intuition tells me you guys are in for a rude awakening this coming weekend. I can smell an ass kickin’ on the way. I can smell a team that looks like they’re just happy to be in the Super Bowl. You guys reek of that team.”
Brees told FanHouse that after the meeting, the Saints “absolutely” changed their approach and studiously prepared for the game in which they defeated the Colts 31-17.
Bad answer? Ya think he would have even seen the field on SP’s Super Bowl team???
More likely, that kind of answer guarantees he won’t be on this team one minute after Evans proves fully healthy (if he does, of course).
If so, fine by me.
I still think he’ll beat out Evans, unless HE (McKie) is not fully healthy.

Are you saying he *McKie) is a better FB, in your evaluation of what a a FB should be? What are you basing that on?
(I’m not debating… just looking hoping for evidence that he’ll actually be good. As of now, I have none.)

In case anyone is interested, he has a Twitter account...
(and his website still has Bears colors/pics.)
