i think the media/sports experts/etc. just hate us
if we don’t win the division this year…well idk if i could take it. i’d do something drastic. like wear a bag over my head.
Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!
Does Vegas offer divisional betting to place? The Bucs finishing third seems like a pretty solid wager imo, considering the ridiculous variance between the Panthers and themselves.

except that the term “betting to place” refers to the second place team. You’re right though, even though it’s most likely not going to happen, that’s a pretty decent wager given the odds.
What’s the proper terminology for specifying the (non-winning) finish position?

i don’t think you can bet on who’s going to come in third in a particular division.
If the Bucs are third, who’s 4th???
Want to go to the Saints vs. Cowboys game? I've got an extra ticket.
win, place, show, also ran
if i remember correctly

to finish 2nd. But Vegas standard NFL “Future” bets 1.total wins(Over/under) 2.win NFC/AFC Champ and 3.Super Bowl win. Plus weekly games pt. spread, O/U total. A Future bet in Oct .09 (Bellagio)got me 7/2 on NFC Ch. game and 9/2 on SB.

Statements like this...
tell me this guy has done little research:
The Saints D produced a crazy amount of turnovers (39) and provided a remarkable eight defensive touchdowns in 2009. Unfortunately for defensive schemes that depend on game-changing turnovers, it is difficult to reproduce these kind of numbers.
Aside from those big plays, the New Orleans Saints are an average defense and will be exposed this 2010-11 NFL betting season.
Are they average? Possibly. But, based on reports from OTAs from the players themselves, the D is shaping up to be even better this year. In this, G-Dub’s second year, a greater familiarity with his scheme for the players combined with the addition of some guys who might be a little better than the people they are replacing (i.e. Brown replacing Grant) would seem to indicate that statements like them “getting exposed” are premature.
There’s no way to know for sure if they will be better or worse at this time, but writing them off like this guy does just seems uninformed.

They continue to crap on Louisiana.
They have been discrediting the Saints, and Louisianians for that mater, for as long as I can remember. That is what makes the Super Bowl win sooooo sweet . So let ‘em talk. I’ll just wash it down with a crown ’n coke, a TD from Brees, and another pick-6 from Sharper. Tastes so good.
