Around SBN: Bracketology 2012: Duke Finally Steps Up To The No. 1 Line

Dolphins agreed to terms with DE Charles Grant on a two-year contract.
Grant, 32, lands in a 3-4 defense for the first time of his career. At about 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds, he has plenty of size to play in the scheme. The contract, however, likely isn't guaranteed. Look for Grant to battle Marques Douglas for one roster spot in an attempt to "replace" Phillip Merling.

I'm happy for him. Maybe he'll be better in a 3-4. Good luck, Chuck!

I felt that his days as a 4-3 DE were over, but that he might be of some value to a 3-4 team as a 3-4 DE pretty much all along already. Maybe now he will be. But if I was a dolfan, I wouldn’t exactly hold my breath either.

He won’t replace Jason Taylor, but maybe he can contribute in rotation…

Good luck, Chuck.

Want to go to the Saints vs. Cowboys game? I've got an extra ticket.

Grant was basically the only defensive player to show up on a consistent basis during the ‘05 Saints season. If he recaptures some of that fire, he could be a nice addition for the Phins. I wouldn’t bet a ton of money on that, but I do wish him the best … in a much tougher division, I might add.

I suspected this(dolphins situation) was why We signed McCray back.

Does chuckwagon know what kind of game Tony Soprano chews on the sideline?

Sean Payton and the players need to focus on the upcoming season and defending the title but I don’t.
