Saints Punter Thomas Morstead injured his shoulder while trying to make a tackle in Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots and did not return. PK Garrett Hartley punted in Morstead's place on the following series (he boomed it 52 yards), and it is being reported that Morstead will not return to the game. UPDATE: X-rays were negative on Saints P Thomas Morstead's shoulder, and he was cleared to return to Thursday's game. The Saints got a scare when their punter and kickoff specialist Morstead went down early the game, but it sounds like he's good to go for next week. Morstead was the only Saints player with any luck tackling Julian Edelman Thursday night. Rotoworld.com
