Where to begin? The Saints are looking like the best team in the South this preseason, but man do they are really having problems on kick coverage. This cannot continue. Atlanta, who is the media's darling, has looked mediocre to bad this preseason. Where is this defense that is supposed to dominate the division? The Panthers look pitiful. I get to see all their games and they have NO, none, nada pass blocking. Almost every time Moore drops back to pass, a defender comes in clean and nails him. He won't last five games, if this continues. However, their defense looks tough and they can run block well. They could win the division, if Moore can get more than 0.8 seconds to set and pass. Tampa looks really improved, but they had so far to go. However, they do benefit from that soft last place schedule. If I were going to pick the South now, I see it as:
Saints 11 - 5
Atlanta 8 - 8
Tampa Bay 7 - 9
Carolina 5 - 11
Other predictions, Reggie will get 2500 combined yards this season and lead the league in touchdowns, if he can stay healthy. Brees will push the passing records again this year. The Saints will establish a new scoring record. They are going to need to if their kick coverage and linebacker play does not improve.
Atlanta will fire its coach and GM, expectations are too high for them to fail and not take the consequences.
Fox will be gone. He is on the hot seat now. I will be surprised, if he makes it past their bye week.
What are your predictions for the division and etc?
