They are both looking good. The run that really impressed me for Bush was his six yard burst up the middle. No dancing, just raw power. I know Evans cleared the way, but no one was stopping Reggie from scoring on that play. In my post about the predictions for the NFC South, I kidded around about Reggie getting 2500 all purposed yards this season. Well that is not as far fetched as some think. Let's say Reggie gets 60 yards rushing a game that is 960 yards for 16 games. Let's say Reggie gets 60 yards receiving a game. That's now 1920 yards. Now he only needs to average, 43 yards returning a game to top 2500 yards. Those are very obtainable numbers for Reggie.
I expect, if Pierre Thomas can stay healthy, he can top 1500 all purpose yards. Frankly after his touchdown run on that screen pass 1800 all purpose yards is very obtainable.
On Drew Brees, with about 2000 yards from his backs, is 5000 yards unlikely? I'm positive his receivers and tight ends can reach 3000 yards. So he could really challenge the NFL yardage record. I sincerely hope he doesn't have to, but our special teams defense and linebackers are making me nervous. The Texas gave us a lot of help.
I expect both Reggie and Drew to put up great td numbers. Remember before he got hurt year before last Reggie was leading the league in scoring. I expect him to get back that td form this year.
