Saints Re-Sign DT Kendrick Clancy
National Football Post reports that 31-year old defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy has re-signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, according to his agent. Clancy is recovering from off-season knee surgery.
If true, this would mean that the Saints now need to cut two players by the August 31st roster cutdown date in order to get down to 75 players.

I like it
He was pretty good before the knee injury. Let’s see how he does. DT isn’t exactly our strongest position.

If they feel they need to re-sign Clancy
…it must mean they’re not satisfied with our tackles. I wonder if one of the cuts will be a DT. Who?
It was worth the wait.
i second that
woods is headed out of the 53 man roster…I’m not sure if the Saints will try to keep him on the prax squad
The Easter Bunny is a savage...
He’s shown nothing on the field yet, but unless he’s shown even less in practice then I think they will.
Still can't believe...
….we traded up to draft him. Wasted pick.
Repeat? Under construction...

It seems to me...
his best year was with us in the 08 season.

Who gets cut?
My best guess would be DT Jay Ross. The only game he played in was against the Patriots where he had no tackles. But strangely enough, he is credited with 1 pass defended.
Second guess? This is where the crap shoot really begins. Will Sean Payton cut just two, or will he cut more to bring in players that were cut from other teams? I’m thinking offensive line or wide receiver. Maybe WR Andy Tanner.
