New Orleans Saints Waive QB Sean Canfield and WR Andy Tanner
The Saints waited until the last minute to make the two necessary roster cuts need to get the team down to a league maximum of 75 players, waiving fourth string quarterback Sean Canfield and undrafted free agent Andy Tanner. This news comes from the Times-Pic.
No surprises here, really. Canfield was on my short list yesterday and many of you speculated that Tanner might be the other player let go.

Without Cook, the Vikings really don’t have a cornerback who I would consider starting material. Barring another move, they will have no choice but to turn to veteran Lito Sheppard or second-year player Asher Allen as the starter. The other is likely to serve as the nickel back. Allen was the nickel back against the Seahawks, while Sheppard was playing with third-teamers in the fourth quarter of the game.

2 starting corners. Porter and Greer are both starting corners. Winfield is their starter, as was Cook.
"Here's the funny thing. Last night, I couldn't sleep too well. I called my dad (Bill) at 2:15 in the morning, and told him I had a feeling I was going to hit the game-winner from 42 yards on the right hash. I think I was two yards off."- Garrett Hartley
...hey M-E...

Quick dumb-dumb question
What exactly happened to Raphael Preist? It remember a bit of hype about bringing him in as a rookie FA, but I don’t remember him being cut. Of course, I don’t see him on the roster either. Any chance of the PS for him?
