Saints Camp Day 8: Porter returns to practice and then returns INT to endzone

Tracy Porter got over the back spasms that had been bothering him and returned to practice today. He then did to Drew Brees what he did to Peyton Manning on February 7th - jump in front of a pass and take it back to the house. Said Porter afterwards:

"Drew's a great quarterback. It's always tough trying to pick him off. So you just hope that once you get him, you can keep it rolling,"

In other news, the Saints bring in WR Mark Bradley, Rickey Jackson gets ready for a big day tomorrow, and our tight ends catch passes from inside a porta potty. Weird drill, huh? See picture to the left. It actually kinda makes sense. Link City after the jump.

Jimmy Graham caused quite a splash in toilet drills today, when he allowed a couple of poorly placed balls to bounce off his pads.

If the portable toilet drill taught our TEs anything, it’s that you must remain focused when urine the red zone.

and now for a non-scatological comment

from Part 1 of Trahan’s neworleans.com series on Rickey:

His birth certificate read “Ricky Anderson Jackson.” At Pahokee High, he changed it to “Rickey Anderson Jackson.” Again, Rickey had a purpose.

“I didn’t want to be like all the other Ricky’s. I wanted to be different and make a name for myself like Mel Tillis. I liked the ‘key’ spelling better. I wanted to be that key to winning,” Rickey said.

Now we know some folks have had trouble spelling Rickey’s name – maybe they knew him before he became “Rickey”
