Saturday Morning with the Saints - Training Camp News and Notes for August 7, 2010

It's Saturday morning for at least another hour or so EST, and HansDat is here to give Satch a bit of a well-deserved break.  Here's a short collection of Saturday morning links on the Saints and beyond.  I'll be back later this afternoon with the links from the B&G scrimmage, and then again for the HOF Induction Open Thread tonight.  Stay Black and Gold, Pony Boy, Stay Black and Gold.

Saints Camp Notes from nola.com

New Orleans Saints players say today's scrimmage will be highly competitive | NOLA.com
The scrimmage begins at 11 a.m. (CST, of course) at Saints facility on Airline Drive.

New Orleans Saints young linebackers are turning the coaches' heads | NOLA.com
Tracy Porter returned to practice after missing with back spasms.  Maybe he got the back spasms from turning his head while in coverage to watch those Awesome Young LBs mentioned above...

New Orleans Saints depth at safety makes for intense competition | NOLA.com
Breaking down the candidates for the roster.

New Orleans Saints center Jonathan Goodwin is coming off a Pro Bowl season | NOLA.com
Quick news and notes from Saints camp.

New Orleans Saints backup quarterback Patrick Ramsey is trying to shake off the rust | NOLA.com
He is battling Chase Daniel for the backup position.  I'm never sure if you're supposed to shake off the rust, or knock it off.  Maybe this article will elucidate us on the proper procedure.

Record to watch later!

Not that I’m not a true fan of Rickey’s, but I normally work midnight to 8 and have had to work the last 2 days 8 to 8. So I will probably be sleeping.

I wonder what the odds are that Ricky is the only one not to cry?
