New Orleans Saints receiver Adrian Arrington is one of the players on the bubble going into Thursday's game against the Tennessee Titans. He said that not only does he need a big game receiving, but he needs to do well in special teams as well.

This season, my stance on Arrington is "I hope he makes the cut" for the first time.
I didn’t care for him coming into the league… His talent was obvious, but something about his disposition always rubbed me wrong. He has always struck me as a smart guy and well-spoken – and that intelligence I’ve sensed (combined with “that guy” hubris) can often lead to things which eventually lead to a player’s downfall (lots of taking chances off the field). I think he could have made the cut and seen playing time by now for 90% of teams in the NFL… but at what cost off the field? The possibilities good or bad are limitless.
While it may not have seemed that way slogging it out on the PS for 2 seasons – I think it’s very fortunate he’s been a member of this team. These past couple of seasons with the Saints have (I don’t want to say humbled) broken him down (attitude-wise) and rebuilt him into the kind of complete player he should have been under optimal conditions coming out of college. The fact that he never played on ST prior to the NFL is a glaring example of how his collegiate coaches did him a disservice. Clearly he’s got the sure hands required to return punts. Not to mention I can’t think of a better way to eliminate any hint of “fear of contact” than playing ST coverage.
So from everything I’ve gleaned in the time between TC last year up until now – I think that Arrington finally “gets it” what it takes to be a complete football player and a teammate. Hope he has a good game this week and makes the cut.
In my opinion – He’s earned it.
It's an ankle bracelet, not a halo....
I hope he makes the cut
I agree, he’s college coaches did him a huge disservice not having him on special teams. You could tell he wasn’t comfortable when he was put back there trying to return kicks.
