Poll: NFL Victory of the Week

**This post is sponsored by Prilosec.**

Each week on Tuesday, all of the SB Nation NFL blogs will be polling their readers to determine which team had the Victory of the Week. On Wednesday, we'll post the overall winner on SB Nation's NFL page. You may base your selection on any criteria you'd like. I'm partial to the Kansas City upset over the Chargers myself.

had to go with Texans

Colts are defending AFC champions and Texans had only beaten them one other time. Ever.

Agreed

They ran over the Colts all day and for one time did not choke in the end blowing a big lead.

I voted for the Seahawks as everyone basically granted the 49ers the winners of the NFC West

Voted Hou/Indy

as a Houston resident this gm. was talked about for the last 5 months. Indy has been the monkey on the Toros’ back, since the franchise began.

I voted for us.

Everyone picked everyone else and their pet goldfish to win the Super Bowl in the pre season and leading up right to the game. We came out, prevented the long runs from AP and shut down Favre in the 2nd half. Is it the most surprising win? No. That would either go to the Chiefs or Seattle.

The base paths belonged to me, the runner. The rules gave me the right. I always went into a bag full speed, feet first. I had sharp spikes on my shoes. If the baseman stood where he had no business to be and got hurt, that was his fault. -Ty Cobb

I voted for the Saints because I'm a homer

But I’d have to say the win of the week is a really close one between Houston and the Seahawks. I don’t really say the Chiefs because it was raining and the field was wet. That plays into their hands with bruising backs and helps their D against a pass happy offense. Plus, I didn’t expect the Chargers to be spectacular this season. Houston stomped on Indy for the most part. I didn’t get to see the actual game but It seems like the Seahawks just manhandled everyone’s favorite to win the NFC West. Plus it was Pete Carrol’s first game as their HC and he decisively beat the 49ers. I like the idea of Indy losing and the Texans finally not choking away another victory against them though so they would be my 2nd favorite. I did not intend for this to be this long, sorry.

Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!

I debated between

San Diego / KC and Dallas / Washington. I went with ’skins win, mainly because the San Diego game cost me my entry in the Survivor League. DOH!

I voted for the Saints game

Not only because I back the Saints but because of all the hype before hand, the media hoping Farve would win, and all he whining by the vikes. Low scoring but a really good game.

Texans

… only because key awau! (WOW). The Chiefs victory was great, but do we really think the Chiefs or the Chargers are going anywhere this year? The Texans on the other hand have much improvement and a legit shot at the playoffs.

by CajunCavern on Sep 15, 2010 8:30 AM CDT reply actions

Doesn’t your belief in the Chiefs as a far lesser team than the Texans make their victory over the Chargers all the more special?

Not exactly

and while I see your point, I personally feel that the Chargers are not that great a team THIS year and I feel the Colts will be fine and make the playoffs. So to recap: I just felt like the Texans beat a very good team, while the Chiefs beat a team that needs much improvement.

Fair enough. It was a pretty great win.

Pierson Prilosec’s steady play on special teams eliminated the ulcer I had going into the season. Thanks, Prilosec.

I voted Saints - Vikinngs b/c

it gave me heartburn watching the game, knowing we could lose on one long pass play at the end.

I went for the Seahawks

Their D looked pretty impressive and te state of the 9ers O line gives me a lot
of hope for monday night.
For pure comedy value , the Cowboys loss to the Skins rates highly.

Did anyone else have to think for a second about what

the heck prilosec does? I know I see ads for it on espn and during games, but I couldn’t at first remember if it’s for acid indigestion or for ED…

It's gonna be a great year.

Almost made me wish I could go back and watch his daddy lose again. No need to be overly specific on that Sunday time machine setting.
