Favre leads team to SB 45 win starting with a win over the Saints on Sep 9 |
Something about wearing Favre's jersey for 3 months if the Saints lose. Not too worried about it. |
What a bunch of purple welchers. Dismissed with a wave of the hand. |

"When do you think we'll have built up a big enough lead against you guys that we'll be able to put TJ in?" |
My guess is "never". |
Hey, where's your Saints Sharper 42 jersey? |

VIkings blow out the Saints on Thursday 34 - 17 |
jeff: "And the Vikings, if they're smart, will power run it down on throats all day long" |
Well I guess the Wikings are not very smart. Saints 14, Wikings 9. Dismissed. |

"I'm not sure how we are that thin at Cb...And While lito isn't an upgrade on Griffen he's a solid starter" |
I sharted after that last one. Cleanup on aisle one. |
Ok, Lito didn't s*** the bed. Happy now? You made me go all scatological. |

Does not sense impending doom for the Panters with Clausen starting against the Bucs on Sep 19 |
Better sharpen up those senses. Maybe a decongestant, a Q-tip, and an eye exam? |
Bucs 20, Panters 7 Moore started, sucked, got benched. Little Jimmy didn't fare much better. |

"We will not try to stop Drew Brees, we will stop Drew Brees. We will not try ... we will move the ball and we will score. Alex (Smith) will be fine Monday night." |

Preseason power ranking for Saints: 5th |
I thought he was a journalist. Where's the objectivity? |

Sep 8 |
As for Matt Forte, you're going to say he's back to his rookie form based on a performance against the RAIDERS? |
Yeah, that's right. Matt Forte gained just 29 yards on 10 carries but chipped in 37 yards and a touchdown on five receptions against the Cowboys in Week 2. The Bears offense turned one-dimensional against a strong Dallas run defense, but Forte showed why he remains one of the top receiving backs in the game. He juked safety Michael Hamlin at the line, getting wide open for a 3-yard score to seal the win in the fourth quarter. |

Got beat by the Chiefs who are now 2-0. And the Broncos have Tebow. |

Questions about Mike Martz's ability to improve Jay Cutler's performance |
Jay Cutler completed 21-of-29 passes for 277 yards and three touchdowns to lead the 2-0 Bears past the Cowboys in Week 2, 27-20. It was a harrowing start with Dallas' pass rush engulfing the Bears' O-Line, but credit goes to Cutler and coordinator Mike Martz for adjusting with a quick-strike attack. It was an incredibly efficient performance for Cutler, bring his touchdown total to five against one interception. There's not a stronger fantasy QB after two games. While his blocking will be a concern again next Monday night against the Packers, it's going to be hard to sit a streaking Cutler. |

Carolina Panthers are not in steep decline in 2010 |
Lame duck coach: Running game won't help that. Rookie QB, no WR's after Smith. Need I go on? MtnExile: revisionist. But at least he's on the right track. |

Not too worried about losing Bell. (Hans: PJ Hill not a replacement) |
Split Bell's carries between all RB's: How is that better than 2009?? It's not. Let's get Ladell Betts!! Um...Ok then, we've got TUSK! |

As if Tebow had more potential than Ricky. As if. |

Objection to rotoworld opinion (Jenkins stays at corner) after Sharper's signing for 2010 |
Depends on Sharper making the team. I agree that Jenkins moves to S as soon as Sharper is off the roster. He's on PUP for 6 weeks. Week 7 resolves this: Cut, benched, or starting at FS. |

Probably a Steelers fan; I didn't ask |

Nope, I said Falcons.
Also, where is the one where I said Clausen would be starting by midseason. Just for the record, I picked the Panthers to be a 5-11 team this year, or an at best 8-8.

more weaseling and waffling
and almost make the playoffs finishing just ahead of ATL
At 5-11?? The List does not forget, my friend.
chh chh chh, whattsa matter wit chu, boy?
I had to do something to get on the list
I am going to have to stop making predictions though, I predicted for Photo Op, he got hurt, I predicted for Bush and he got hurt, I predicted for the Panthers, and they definitely look hurt, so maybe I need to go ahead and make more picks for the Bucs and the Falcons.

YIKES! What did Best score in your league?
He scored 53 in the one of mine that I noticed him.
Want to go to the Saints vs. Cowboys game? I've got an extra ticket.
40
I own him in 4 of my 5 leagues, sat him in all 4. No more. I’ve got money on Jesus1000.
chh chh chh, whattsa matter wit chu, boy?
Best got me 59 points in one league and 56 in another.
Just last week some one was wanting me to trade him for Thomas Jones. I’m glad I didn’t.
I sat the damn! steelers.
I had replaced them with the Titans thinking there was no way in hell the Steelers were going to get more than 14 points on the board. WTF was i thinking.
<<<<Also Sat portis.
I am behind Dave 25 points this week. I only have Gore and Colston to close that gap, otherwise I am toast.
This will make the 2nd week that Steve Smith (NYG) has potentially cost me a game.

You won.
Gore helped you beat Dave this week. Tough loss for him. I thought he had it in the bag this week.

I like the Index
I especially like that you added John Clayton. I was going to create a special MSM edition of the Accountability Index, but never found time to do it. Bucky Brooks and Pat Kirwan should also go on it. To those three, I would only ask, “Where’s your Cowboys now? Still see them winning the SB, ya bums?”
I was wrong about Bell, Brown, and possibly Cutler (still remains to be seen though), but I nailed it about Jenkins. He’s no longer a CB, so Rotoworld was wrong on May 3rd and I was right. I never said he would overtake a healthy Sharper on the depth chart. Only that he wouldn’t be staying exclusively at CB. I know I’ve explained this to you a Jesus1000 times so far, but you can interpret things however you want. I don’t mind.

Hardly. He’s going back to nickel back week 7.

I was going to say that.

Ohhh
So that’s the source of our disagreement? If Sharper is healthy, my guess is that Jenkins will be his backup and pupil. Sharper has a long injury history, so someone would need to back him up and that someone would be Jenkins. I’ll wait til week 7. :)

Did you know that 'if' is the middle word in life?
“If [Moore] can be efficient, and the Panthers’ run game doesn’t slow down any, Carolina will be a tough nut to crack, don’t kid yourselves.”
Always remember context. As for Cutler, last year he had five games in which is passer rating was above 100 (including 3 of the first 4 games, in a 3-1 start for the eventual 7-9 Bears), and two more in the high 90s. He still wound up at 76.8. It’s a long season.
It was worth the wait.
Your attempt to baffle with BS has failed.
The Lions will win the Super Bowl if Jesus1000 elects to use divine intervention.
Waffling and weaseling is all I can detect here. Concede and spare your friends and family the humiliation.
It’s a long season.I was going to say that.
Although I loved my Daisy, I sought fame
And so I left the village green.
In all seriousness
Any statement containing “if” is not a prediction, but a material conditional.
“If it rains, the roof will get wet” is not a prediction that the roof will get wet, but only a description of what will necessarily happen when a condition is met. If Matt Moore did indeed have a 98.5 passer rating (last year’s number) instead of this season’s 41.8, and if Carolina was rushing for 156 yards per game (last season’s number) instead of this season’s 104, they would be a tough nut to crack, since that would mean they’re playing at the same level as last season, when they went 4-1 in Moore’s starts. But they’re not…and hence, they’re 0-2.
I predict you will reject this reasoning.
It was worth the wait.
I predict you will reject this reasoning.
It’s no fun to agree with someone you’re trying to disagree with!

materially conditionally waffling and weaseling
I equated my stupid, ridiculous Jesus1000/Detroit remark with your statement that Matt Moore could ever achieve a 98.5 passer rating (as if that meant anything). See how I did that? Neither one is going to happen, cracked nuts or not. Oops I think I tore my scrotum.
chh chh chh, whattsa matter wit chu, boy?
But Moore DID achieve a 98.5 passer rating
…last season. In five starts. And yeah, passer rating does mean something—not everything, but something. It’s an amalgam of attempts, completions, yards per attempt, TDs, interceptions…it’s just a good overall index of how well a quarterback is doing passing the ball. It doesn’t measure everything, but it’s still useful…and if you think not, I’d like to know what quarterback stat is more useful.
As for Jesus1000 using divine intervention: if he were divine, maybe that statement would be true. As it is, it’s like saying that Detroit will win the Super Bowl if you decide to keep an accountability index. One has nothing to do with another.
As for weasels and waffles…remember: it’s cash only.

It was worth the wait.
twss
…remember: it’s cash only.
I have long since stopped listening to you, I just wait for you to be done.
“I got the 50 dollars!”

Fun fact: I used to work at Dillard’s Lakeside (3rd floor, electronics) and the “Special Man’s” wife worked there (in kids clothes) on the 3rd floor too.

Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!
Put me on the board!
Brett Favre will be have his consecutive starts streak ended by a benching before an injury.
Snap, place, kick! And it's good! It's good! It's goo-hoo-hood! Pigs have flown! Hell Has frozen over! The Saints are going to the Superbowl!

injury retirement
It's gonna be a great year.
Tampa Bay
is gaining confidence. Winning does breed winning. Carolina is toast for the season, so I predict that the Saints win the division by a small margin (1 or 2 games) over Atl with TB right behind them. Carolina will be lucky to win 5 games this yr. TB will win 7-8 games, Atl 8-9 games, and the Saints will win about 10 or so.
