It was just a matter of time

Well, I'm beginning to wonder if every week is going to be heart attack nail biting games. Amazingly, we "Could Have" still won the game despite the 3 turnovers and allowing 200 yards rushing from the Falcons. Shudda Cudda Wudda don't win ball games. But the bottom line is: This is not the same team I've seen from the 2009 season. There are too many mistakes, stupid penalties, short yardage failures, and lack of coaching (especially today). I was fuming when we were at the 10 in OT. Why not try to get a TD istead kicking a FG on first down??? That was on Sean Payton.

This loss might be a good thing here. It may wake the coaching staff and team up to let them know: Hey, we've been flat and won the first 2 but the 3rd game bit us. We didn't depend on the turnovers this game. Atlanta protected the ball very well. They outplayed us, hats off to them.

Lance Moore get's an A in my book! What a game he had! But it takes a Team to win the ball game. They failed to do that today. Our running game is terrible, and our run defense is terrible. And I was not impressed with the secondary at all. Drew Brees had more fire today. He made a couple mistakes but came right back in to try to get our team a victory. You can't blame it all on him. The team needs to realize that they have a lot of work to do to clean up the mistakes. Was not impressed with Chris Ivory. And Devery dropped a couple of crucial passes.

As far as Garrett Hartley goes? No excuse to miss chip shots like that. But I guess it wasn't meant to be. I hope during this week they can get that fierce Anger back like they had last year. They play very well when they're Angry.

We got beat and could have won it, but didn't deserve to win. Falcons outplayed us. They have a good team and made few mistakes. Let's just hope Carolina doesn't have 200 yds rushing next week.

Fire Away!
