New Saint's Concerns

And now my new concerns about this team...

1. Devery Henderson - You can catch the ball! You can catch the ball! Is it time for Meachem, Moore or mabye even Adrian Arrington to take your starting spot?

2. Garrett Hartley - Hmmm! I am channeling Vince Lombardi..."What the hell's goin' on out here???" Guess what John Carney arrived in New Orleans today! Hey! I heard Mr. Morten Anderson is out there, too! What about that big mouth kicker that used to be with the Colts. You remember the guy Peyton Manning called "Our idiot kicker!"

3. I can't say it enough....L-I-N-E-B-A-C-K-E-R! Linebacker! Linebacker! Linebacker! Please help Vilma out! This guys talents are wasted because the LBers are sooooooo bad. Can we trade for Scott Fujita? He can't be happy in Cleveland! Right?

4. Offense - Drew! I know Reggie's hurt and I know Henderson is well Henderson! But I'm counting on you man! Let's start putting up 35 - 40 points a week and making kicking obsolete! You can do it! Right the ship! Besides...my fantasy footbal team is counting on you!

5. The baddest guards in the game - Nicks and Evans, you guys are the NFL's version of wrestling's (from my day) Road Warriors! You guys should be beatin' the hell out of every D-Line you play. You guys dominated the Williams wall in week 1 and then have played down to the competition.

I share your concerns, mostly, but mildly

we need to play better. we played badly. we still had the win in our grasp- did everything we needed to do to win except the kicker. Everybody is knocking our defense, but we kicked off in OT and our defense held them- I think 3 and out. Our offense needs to step it up and they will- they need top just get used to the system being modified with Reggie out. We had the same problem for a short time when Evans went out and then Shockey. Our linebackers are fine and when Ingram plays and Sharper comes back, they’ll play even better. Every team’s fans are unhappy with their OLBs- the MLBs are the heroes and the OLBs are the scapegoats.

Are you serious about Morten? If he is in town to help Hartley then I will keep the faith I entrusted to Hartley because Morten is the man! If he can’t help him then I don’t think anyone else can.

Hartley just needs

to increase the angle of approach on any kicks under 35 yards. Anything over that has been money. His kicks always turn left and then back to the right in flight and works well on anything over 35-40 yards but anything closer is always to the left. Should have let Lance Moore kick it at 29 yards……………………….Money.

Maybe our play at home, even the kicking, has to do with the new turn that was installed suring the offseason.

I think the big ‘problem’ is that teams have more tape on us AND they’re paying attention more than ever…. I think we’ll right the ship.
