LSU fans will be happy to see linebacker Harry Coleman still sticking around with the team. Most notably missing from the list, however, is defensive tackle Al Woods. I've got to say, I'm quite surprised. I thought for sure he was a shoe-in. And Matt Clapp? Dustin Mitchell? Who the hell are they?
For those of you who may be wondering, NFL practice squad players earn a minimum of $5,200 a week in the 2010 season, equaling $88,400 for the year.

We still have a spot open. Maybe they’re letting Woods have a chance to sign with someone else, and if he doesn’t they’ll bring him back on PS?
"Here's the funny thing. Last night, I couldn't sleep too well. I called my dad (Bill) at 2:15 in the morning, and told him I had a feeling I was going to hit the game-winner from 42 yards on the right hash. I think I was two yards off."- Garrett Hartley
PS
These all seem to make perfect sense, except I wasn’t aware of Mr.Clapp. Resisting the whole Clapp On, Clapp Off schtick. I think Billings is good, and there could be a WR getting traded.

Just in case someone is interested about Clapp

Matt Clapp
Whenever he made a knockout block at Oklahoma, we would always say the opposing linebacker had “Got the Clapp.”

The #Saints’ final practice squad player is TE Dustin Mitchell from La. Tech and Lutcher HS.

That is the minimum. I’ve seen NFL teams pay a PS player their full contract salary for that year.
you know, when you want something, and nobody can stop you from taking it, you just take it, right? I like that, but can you take it?
Here's another option at OLB.. Jeff Duncan on Twitter again
The #Saints have moved DE Junior Galette to OLB. The rookie said he will still work as a rush end in passing situations.
i’d rather that then to lose talent in a trade for Thomas Howard.

Thomas Howard is no upgrade.

P.S.
He single handedly destroyed the Raiders run stop D. Some try to blame the DL but truth is it was Howard.

I'm just surprised Al Woods didn't even make the practice squad?? But I guess we don't need 2 DTs on the PS

from Rotoworld:
(under news for Harry Coleman)
Woods was an ill-advised fourth-round pick in April. A career underachiever, he unsurprisingly made no impact in camp. Coleman was a safety at LSU, trying to convert to linebacker
Agreed
I thought he was a waste of a pick. I hoped I was wrong b/c he’s from close to where I’m from.
Gotta say, it seems our draft was s bust already, I mean we needed a de, dt, and olb. We drafted one dt and he got cut and no other perceived need. Well the season is starting and we are worse off on defense than we were last year. This, to me, is very concerning.

RB kinda thin
Titans have cut Blount i think he would be a good pickup what u guys think.
If he doesnt punch his new team-mates, possibly…
You are my people, you are my crowd, this is our music, we love it loud...
Hahahaha I liked Blount at the draft, thought he'd be a better pick up then Sean effing Canfield..
Doubt Pay-Loo takes a chance on him, they’ll probably roll with what they’ve got for now and once Chris Ivory is ready to play, DeShawn Wynn will probs be released
i doubt we pick him up
because of character issues. Maybe if he didn’t punch someone at the Titans’ camp this year we couldve taken a chance. The guy looks like a stud
Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!
We need at least two power running backs and we have one in ivory i dont see much of that in Wynn. We really need a workhorse power running back but its to late for that now.
We also need
special teams(tackling) help!
you know, when you want something, and nobody can stop you from taking it, you just take it, right? I like that, but can you take it?
Don't forget
We traded up for Woods, so we wasted two 4th and 6th rounders for them.

They must have really sucked bad.
To not at least make practice squad over Jones, Coleman, and two guys who werent even in camp. Plus Billings, cause the last thing we need is another wr.
What in the HELL just happened!?
Wow...
I’d love to be on the prax squad…with likely no action and end up with a high five figure salary…..even better, be on the 53 man roster with minimum wage, which is a six fig salary
