Gris Gris Man, this one's for you

I found this fanpost on the Daily Norseman. I thought it was funny. They can't compete with the real thing. Nobody does it better. Gris Gris Man is the greatest spell caster today. New Orleans is the land of voodoo, home of Marie Laveau. On Thursday, the Vikings spells and their play on the field will end up being subpar to ours. GGM, I look forward to your spells each week, I think they are hilarious. The fact that other teams fans are trying to imitate you is ridiculous. How can you compete with greatness. Props to you GGM.

P.S. This message isn't meant to stir up the Vikings fans vs. Saints fans debate. Nor is it intended to offend anyone really. I just wanted to give props to GGM. I love the spells, no one does it better imo.

I think it was a valiant effort, but one that fell short. Similar to the Vikings on this coming Thursday.

Also, the lead Norseman posted this.

There are people That think it would be a wise idea to take pictures of the Saints raising their championship banner on Thursday night, and then come over to this site to post them here and rub our noses in it.
Small hint. . .none of those people are Viking fans.

I vote nay on this
SBNation Minnesota – For the greatest sports fans in the world.

Pirates fans are rather loyal, Steelers fans know a lot about football, Pens fans, most of them didn’t exsit until Sid the Kid, Geno and Marc Andre-Fleury, so they don’t count. WVU fans will love people for ever, if they help the Mountineers win.

Players who should be in the Hall of Fame: Pat TIllman, Dwight White, Donnie Shell, L.C. Greenwood, Ray Guy, Steve Tasker, Greg Llyod, Andy Russel, Cris Carter, Kevin Greene and Jerry Kramer

Im on record as saying I dont nessicarily

agree with it because of the fact that its just trash talking and saying that “Hey guess what, no matter which way you look at it we beat your team and then beat the favored Colts in the Super Bowl, we may have not been the best team that year but there’s a difference between being the best team and the super bowl winner. People remember who won the super bowl, not who was the best team that year.” Well thats how I’d be if the roles were flipped.

Second I agree with Gonzo to an extent because he just doesn’t want a flood of pictures taking away from our game thread and I see exactly what he means. (Poor Analogy Coming) But its kinda like at baseball games when they tell you that you’ll be severely punished and asked to leave if you go on the field. Yes 99% of the fans wouldnt think about it, but theres always that minority that’ll do it all the time if theres no punishment or just a slap on the wrist. Honestly I dont thnik he gives you guys enough credit because I haven’t really had a problem with any of you and I’ve grown to like a good portion of you. Well thats just my two cents on it, take it face value.

What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your entire rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I don’t think it’s that big a deal either. But I’m not going to do it myself.

However, I do have to say I hope some people will be posting that picture (and/or video, preferably) on THIS board.

Pfft....

…I’ve got much better things to do on Thursday night that waste a single moment on the Whinequeen message board.

(That is aimed at those that are still bellyachin’ about the NFCCG, not guys like you Percy, or Grime, etc, etc – fans that actually understand the game and aren’t letting their panties get in a bunch, you guys are OK by me. :) )

I'm still belly aching about that game but that's because I ate the gumbo recipe that Mtn gave me

And drank the drink that voodoogrisgris set up on here.. Stomach still remembers that night.. :D

It's a lot easier to love the Vikings when they win...

Yeah you got us.

Voodoo was never really Norse speciality. ‘We’ tended to excell at killing anything that moved, raping, pillaging, and then leaving after we had our fill of vice. Sort of like pirates minus the gay Jonny Depp stereotype.

lol, I never saw it that way, but yeah now those movies take on a whole ‘nother light. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

actually he’s not supposed to be gay. He’s supposed to be Keith Richards (that’s who Depp says he patterned character after). Not gay, but permanently half-stoned & barely standing.

Yeah, Vikings DID excel at that, once...

…however, they’re extinct in that version now. Thor & Freya’s worshippers are long gone from the world….so, “gay pirate” stereotypes aside, there are no more REAL Vikings left, just a bunch of Barneys that wish they were that bad@$$, but spend most of their time whining about how they were “mistreated”…

But, voodoo is still practiced. ;-)

It worked in the NFCCG, didn’t it? :-D

Hey we had our rune casting. rolling the bones of destiny

What you don’t know is after Favre had his bone spurs removed we had them made into runed bones. We had an augury cast with them that stated we were going to whoop your ever loving butts this Thursday.

Hey man it’s not my call, you just can’t deny the bones!

LOOK AT THE BONES!!!

It's a lot easier to love the Vikings when they win...

I don’t think many DN folks had a problem with GGM’s post. In fact I would say he might have been more appreciated over there than here at CSC.
