Folks, these next couple days will give us our last chance to make the vaunted Accountability Index before the season is underway. To that end, I propose that we all--or as many as want to participate--make three predictions each: one concerning the Saints, one concerning the NFC South, and one concerning any other subject within the NFL at large.
Since it's my post, I'll go first and establish both the format and the lengths to which it's possible to stick one's neck out.
1. Saints: Reggie Bush will have his finest season as a Saint, gaining over 1300 yards from scrimmage (again) on fewer touches, and scoring 16 touchdowns.
2. NFC South: For the first time ever, the NFC South will have a repeat champion. (Yeah, I know, this one is easy...but that's the advantage of going first.)
3. NFL: The Vikings will have one of their top weapons end the year on injured reserve. And I'm not talking about Brett Favre: I'm talking about Adrian Peterson. Since he came into the league, he's been a serious injury waiting to happen. This is the year that "running angry" finally puts him on IR.
Okay, let's get busy and make Stuart spend sleepless nights trying to keep up with us.
