VIKINGS: Celebrate team’s 50th season.

Are they gonna do some ceremony where Favre gives a speech about how he remembers when the Wikes were formed?

by saints_r_us#9 on Sep 9, 2010 3:51 PM CDT up reply actions

let's do this

I just muted my TV because NFL network is doing a story on Favre’s retirement odyssey starting in 2005. I don’t want to hear any of that stuff. Bah!

It's gonna be a great year.

by Hans Petersen on Sep 9, 2010 4:02 PM CDT reply actions

Turn it to NBC

I’m pretty sure they would all felate Payton if he was in front of them and sacrifice their children to Brees.

It's a lot easier to love the Vikings when they win...

by Grime on Sep 9, 2010 4:18 PM CDT up reply actions

yup, Grime, I understand your perspective

Now I can replace my well-wishing for your Super Bowl victory with the kind of hatred I’ve always had. It’s….freeing.

Hmmm, which jersey to wear tonight?

I’m leaning towards the Shockey with the SB patch.

"I want to hand this trophy to the MVP of the Super Bowl -- and the MVP of the entire league.''
-- Saints coach Sean Payton, handing the Vince Lombardi Trophy to Drew Brees after Super Bowl 44.

Minnesota's inactive players for tonight

CB Cedric Griffin, DB Chris Cook, RB Toby Gerhart, G Chris DeGeare, defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy, tight end Mickey Shuler and defensive end Everson Griffin. Joe Webb has been designated the emergency QB.

Husain Abdullah will start in place of Tyrell Johnson at strong safety, and Asher Allen will start in place of Lito Sheppard at right cornerback.

As per Bob Fortus @ nola.com

It's gonna be a great year.

Saints Inactives

As per Pat Y. @ espn.com

RB Chris Ivory, DB Chris Reis, LB Stanley Arnoux, LB Danny Clark, OL Zach Strief, TE Jimmy Graham, WR Adrian Arrington and DE Junior Galette.

He further asserts this:

Clark’s appearance on the inactive list further confirms the Saints will start Jo-Lonn Dunbar at linebacker. With Clark and Arnoux inactive, the New Orleans linebacker depth after Dunbar, Jonathan Vilma and Scott Shanle is limited to Marvin Mitchell, Anthony Waters and K.C. Asiodu.

It's gonna be a great year.
