An entire 2 weeks after... *cough* uhh.... that thing, many people already know who they think there team should draft. It's only 3 months away, so go ahead, grab a beer, forget about the expiring CBA, and post your thoughts. Make the jump for my mock and to make comments.
Round One (24) Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA- Well what do you know, there is a god after all. Without an extremely high need at OLB for most teams, Ayers and Von Miller will slip to us, but I personnaly prefer Ayers.
Round Two- (56) Phil Taylor, DT, Baylor- I'm not so sure about Ayodele, if he does good in the preseason, then we could build up Taylor for a couple of years.
Round 3- (72) Bilal Powell, RB, Louisville- He lifted the Cards, he could help us get back to the super bowl with his power running.
Round 3- (88) Titus Young, WR, Boise State- I don't know how, but Devery Henderson dissapeared. Drew Brees could use another deep threat to compliment our strong recieving corps. I almost mocked Randall Cobb, but I vomited blood and had to pray to my Charlie Strong shrine for forgiveness for even thinking of it.
Round 7- (215) Greg McElroy, QB, Alabama- I know, Drew Brees just turned 32, and has atleast 5 more good years. But McElroy is an exceptional talent. Remember that one benchwarmer kid who finally got a chance to play. I believe his name was... Aaron Rodgers.
Conpesentory- Either Steven Friday or Rodney Gnat, both DE's, Virginia Tech and Louisville- I don't see the big need at DE, but we could build either of these two, who both have great potential.
Happy mock drafting!
