Fleur-De-Links Saturday, January 29: Reggie Bush Has Plumbing Emergency

This Saturday Afternoon Edition features a new Wang piece (TWSS), Q & A between Drew Brees and a NY Times writer, Senior Bowl bits, and Pat Y's NFC South Chat Summary.

Making the jump will also bring you up close and personal with some Pro Bowl Press, Saints player tweets (including the scoop on Reggie's water situation), and a report about injuries from the 2010 season.

Be sure to check back later this evening for a special bonus Fleur-De-Links featuring coverage of Super Bowl XLV. You're welcome.

Writer's Note (4:50 pm EST):  My apologies if you read the 4:00 EST Accidental Edition of this - it was incomplete and I had to run out for an errand mid-composition.  I meant to save it and set it for a later post time so I could return and finish it before it went up, but I screwed up the timing on the "save" function.  Sorry, Charlie.

One of the great things about the internets is that no matter how shortsighted, ill-informed and just plain ridiculous your kneejerk overreaction to a given event might be, you're never more than a few clicks away from a number of people who are more than happy to reinforce your belief that the reaction was actually perfectly reasonable. This comes in especially handy for sports fans after a particularly tough loss.

My apologies if you read the 4:00 EST Accidental Edition of this – it was incomplete and I had to run out for an errand mid-composition.

FYI HansDat, you can save the draft without actually hitting “publish” at all. The only trick is that then you have to go to “stories” and then alter your default “Status Filter” setting to “draft” to find it again. (Or click on the “You have XX unpublished drafts.” link in the top right, in which the XX is replaced by a number which is also a link.)

For that matter, if you just walk away from the computer, SBN will auto-save your draft for you every few minutes. At worst you’ll lose an average of five minutes or so of work IF everything goes straight to hell in a hand-basket. And fairly often none at all.

Read somewhere that the NFL in an attempt to reduce injuries etc, are thinking of making thigh pads mandatory.

For the sake of all of our eyesight …let’s hope so.
