Stanford QB Andrew Luck will not declare for the NFL draft.— CollegeFootballTalk (@CFTalk) January 6, 2011
Stanford University announced Thursday that QB Andrew Luck will stay for his junior season in 2011. It's a shocking decision considering the financial bottom line. Luck may have been scared off by the labor uncertainty and a Panthers organization reluctant to spend the money it takes to build a consistent winner. This could buy Jimmy Clausen one more season while Carolina turns its attention to Clemson DL Da'Quan Bowers. We don't expect Luck's decision to have any bearing on Jim Harbaugh's future. He seems certain to jump to the NFL.
