It was a very ugly day indeed. And I hope Sean Payton has a good quick recovery. Sucks to see a freakish accident happen like that. Needless to say we looked awful. The Bucs defense did what it took to win the game. Both sides of the ball, we flat out sucked. I will say this, the turnovers need to stop. You can't win games with 4 turnovers. Most importantly, we can't keep relying on late 4th quarter comebacks. It bit us today and will bite us again.
Okay here are my questions for the night that I've been observing.
Why do we struggle in the red zone so much? What happened to our great number 1 offense where we could score TD's on any given play?
Why does our running game suck so bad? Is it the offensive line? Scheme?
Is Gregg Williams overrated? Ever since the Seattle game he's not been on my good list. He's giving up way too many big plays. And what the heck happened to Tracy Porter? He hasn't done Jack s**t since 09. He got burned a few times today. From hero to zero? And it's quite obvious our defense sucks. Only 3 forced turnovers in 6 games.
Why can't we tackle? (Important)
What happened to our "Big Playmaker" Robert Meachem? 2 of Brees int's this season were due to Meachem's drops.
Why can't our receivers get wide open like did in 09 and previous? Do they look like they're slowing down for some reason? It seems like Brees can't find receivers get open. They look blanketed most of the time.
What happened to yards after catch? Seems like a long time ago since I've seen long yards after the catch.
Are the receivers aging? It just seems like they're not as fast as they used to be.
I hope they come out mad as hell next Sunday night at the dome. Not panicking yet, just concerned is all. They just need to improve. We had a golden opportunity to have a 2 game lead in the division. We did not capitalize.
Help me out guys!
