we would enjoy the adventure of life & the joy of the journey..
if he would get up off his ass & bury a quarterback or two..
Don't blame the defense for this one!
I too was ticked at the end of this debacle of a game. I was ticked at the D for playing soft on the outside, blowing coverage, and lord know they tackle worse than a Pop Warner pee wee team. However, that being said, I watched this game over again today.
The blame lies squarely on the shoulders of the “offensive” performance of the Offense. Couldn’t run the ball, fumbles, two picks and ten points off those turnovers, IN the first half!
The Defense made the adjustments at the half and only gave up six points.
The fact is, if we get a field goal on those drives we turned the ball over, we win this game. Take away the ten points for the Bucs and the score at the half is ten ten….without points on those drives. If we get a field goal on those drives or a TD and two punts, the score is 17-10 at the half.
D gives up six the second half and we score ten more we win 27-10.
Even with the crap pick in the end zone at the end of the game.
Truth is the D did it’s job in the second half and the O- didn’t do their’s in the first half.
Payton on the sideline is no excuse for not catching balls that are in your hands,Meecham. getting pushed out of bounds on a go route,Colston, and putting the ball on the ground,Thomas. That’s what cost us the game.
If we play anywhere near OUR ability instead of Down to the ability of our opponent we win this game going away.
Again, The D has it’s issues. but they have made the adjustments when needed to put us in position to win.
Here’s hoping we learn to hang onto the ball and run more consistently!
Rematch in the Dome!!! No doubt who wins!!!
WHO DAT!!!?
We ALL DAT!!!!
dont blame the defense
totally agree with your observations, when will all parties get it together at the same time. i sure do miss those sunday afternoon blowouts. the end of my couch is getting worn from me sitting on the edge way too often. let’s all get a piece of jimmy graham’s attitude.
For me, the end of my Lazy-Boy and my back was sore all day Monday
but the D has got to get to QB, that helps guys like Harper and Shanle who are gettin hammered in coverage.

it was beat to death yesterday..
one side & the other..
rarely a defeat can be blamed on a simple aspect.. but not giving defense its share of the responsibility is as good as ignoring the alarming problem..
don’t see nothing wrong with simply holding the defense accountable..
we are approaching the mid point of the season.. & there is no noticeable sign of improvement game to game.. the offense has proved that even with some errors & deficiencies can stay with the big dogs..
why is the defense on the porch..? can’t it run with the big dogs..? & tampa could not impersonate a big dog in my back yard (everybody is old, fat, non-athletic or combination of all those).. we are talking a bottom feeder when it comes to offensive fire power..
why not expect a couple of game changing plays from the defense..?

Wang's column is spot on.
“Most talented Saints team ever?”
How? In what respect? In what metric is this measured?
I’m echoing the views of others here in saying “a” running back needs to be featured. One needs to get in the groove. Despite Pierre’s fumble, he’s the one that got us this far. IMHO it should be him. He was averaging 5 yds/carry I just don’t see Ingram being it, for at least this year.

Sadly
The way Sean uses RB’s they should have a career life span of 10 to 15 years.
