Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Fleur-De-Links: Sunday, November 20

I bring you a small smattering of Saints and NFL-related links and tweets on this No Saints Game Sunday.

The Saints didn't get any early help from their NFC South mates to bring down the teams ahead of/even with them in the NFC playoff race, but the games were lively (see Lagniappe links below). In the late slate of games, we have Atlanta taking on Tennessee, and the Cardinals are currently only down six to the 49ers, so we may still have some good news this weekend while the Saints sit idle.

Enjoy!

not really

but the tweet had Joe Montana and Cris Carter (NFL-related) in it, so on a slow Saints news day, it made the cut

  1. seed in NFC looking ripe for the taking

by Valmo on Nov 21, 2011 6:45 AM CST reply actions

there’s some code that messes with # signs… just like the lower case b at the beginning of a line.

by Dan Kelly on Nov 21, 2011 10:43 AM CST up reply actions

Interesting as well

Both Dallas and the Bears are 7-3 right along with the Saints. December is going to be really interesting…

by Valmo on Nov 21, 2011 7:32 AM CST reply actions

not quite

Dallas is actually 6-4

and Detroit takes a 7-3 record into the Turkey Day Classic vs. Green Bay!! Gobble gobble.

WIN NOW

Yeah I think he meant Lions.

But I think we can beat the Lions. They lose at least three more (us and Packers x2 presumably) and that puts them a max of 10-6. We NEED the Texans and at least one other team to beat the Foulclowns before we face them again. (Well Tampa could do it in the season finale I guess.) Then assuming we beat them at home (and we BETTER), then at least we won’t have to face them in the playoffs. I’ll take my chances with Forte or the Lions or heck even DeMarco Murray before I’ll let the foulclowns in the playoffs. Even if we lose, them sitting home will be worth it.

Oh or we may have to take our chances with Bradshaw too. So what. At least Jones and Douglas can’t gash our secondary. It’s worth it.

RT @MikeGarafolo: Coughlin sounds like he’s not counting on having Ahmad Bradshaw this wk but wants to wait & see how he feels in a few days

I’m referring to in the playoffs, not this coming Monday. If we beat the Giants and then the cowgirls split with them there is a chance the Giants would be the six seed and would come back to the Dome to face us (assuming, of course, we’re the #3 seed).

I don’t have a problem with facing Bradshaw, or Smith, or Forte, or ANYBODY but the foulclowns in the playoffs. Even if we ended up losing, at least the FoulClowns got to watch from their couches. That’s a win in my book.

I’m referring to in the playoffs,

How do you know that Brandon Jacobs won’t play well enough to cut into Bradshaw’s carries? It’s happened before. Bradshaw might be recovering from season ending surgery by the time the playoffs come around.

For sure? I don’t.

Realistically? Pull the other one.
