Man this is great
Two weeks in a row I should get to watch my team play football now. Before I probably would have only gotten one.
Better yet, we’re coming off a Monday night game, it’s ALREADY a short week… but we get six extra hours to prepare. THAT will help. Sure the Lions get four extra days, but they would get that regardless. They likely don’t care about the extra six hours. We, however, probably do.
six hours
just enough time for another helping of beefy mac!!

six weeks
just enough time to digest it…
We've got a date with Destiny. And it looks like she's ordered the lobster.
Hmm... another thought...
Do the Lions win their Super Bowl on Thursday? If so, that might help us the following Sunday.
Yes, if they pull off the upset of the Packers on T-Day
they could be set up for a ‘trap’ game in the Superdome (not that the Saints are the classic trap opponent). Either way, though, I think that’s a game the Saints should win. Detroit doesn’t have much of a running game to speak of, which is the biggest weakness for the Saints defense. And while the Lions do have a very good pass rush, their coverage guys are not very good.
I am far more worried about the Giants looking for some payback after the beat down they received the last time they visited New Orleans.
As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain; and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality. -Albert Einstein
Your info is slightly out of date. For about a 3-5 week period, they had no running game (just at the right time to lose to the FoulClowns, a team they should have beaten). But they got it back now that they’ve brought Kevin Smith back. They aren’t GREAT mind you, but the are no longer putrid.
Along similar lines, AP is almost certainly not going to play Sunday against the FoulClowns. There goes probably any realistic chance of the upset. Man those clowns are the LUCKIEST bastards on the planet, their opponents injure their best players just in time for the next game against them! First the Lions, then the WhineQueens, oh and the Titans kinda did the same thing with CJ looking good for one week and then pulling another disappearing act… GRRR!
But yeah I do kinda agree about the Giants. I also think we’re a better team than they are, but we need to come out and put them on the ground, HARD, from the very start of the game and never let up. For that matter, we need to do that with all our remaining opponents… ESPECIALLY if/when we get into the playoffs.
Will be nice to watch them again twice in a row.
Strange though….I keep seeing the occasional smug comment about playing the Pack for the championship game and trying to wrestle away the #2 seed….I’m just still hoping we make the playoffs. There is only one game left on our schedule that I think should be a near sleeper…and that’s the Vikings. Every other game is against a 500 team or better with the exception of the Panthers…a team that isn’t winning but is still lighting up the scoreboard and played us beyond tough the first game.
That being said, we should be favored in every game the rest of the way. 3-3 probably gets us into the playoffs….4-2 will seal the deal. Here’s hoping we play like the team we can be…and not like the team we sometimes are.
-Lombardi was wrong...it's the internet, not fatigue that makes cowards of us all. But then again, what do you expect. Not like the guy could see the future.
I think there is might be a better chance
that we could get the No.2 seed after SF since GB has 2 division games with Detroit and 1 with Chicago. It is not too unrealistic for them to drop 3- SF however has a patsy schedule
Yes I will put my hand down professor FriarBob
I did overlook PIT and Bal in SF’s schedule, and I am hoping that DET defense will give GB a run in both those games….Maybe I am remembering our meltdown in the the end of season in ’09 and hoping for they will have some kind of letdown…..
