Chris Ivory against the Lions ?????

I would really like to see Ivory get his shot in this game. If he could get his injuries under control, he could dominate at the RB position but if he continues to sit out, I fear he is running out of opportnities. That would be a shame because he is a very exciting runner and has a brutal style that punishes defencive backs and is very hard to bring down.I think 20 touches would easily accout for 100 to 150 yards. They could sit Pierre and rest him since he is the smallest and most used of the four backs. This would get him ready for the playoff run. Every week they should rotate from one player to the next and keep them all rested. This could be the most prolific tandum backs in the NFL and I love it.

Interesting

I think Ingram is just as good if not better in that role than Ivory if he gets the holes to run through. I also think Ingram has a little more ball security. I remember Ivory fumbling several times last year and so far Ingram has only fumbled once that I remember. Maybe that’s why the coaches sat Ivory last week.

I don’t think they’ll sit PT. I think he’s the best all-purpose RB of the bunch because he runs screens so well and is very hard to bring down with first contact.

Whatever they decide to do, I love having this problem after we had so many injuries there last year.

Very unique problem to have...............and I agree but

it would keep all the backs healthy and fresh.

I like Ivory in this game too.....

Yea maybe Ivory had more fumbles last year than Ingram has this year, but he also had many more carries last year than Ingram has this year. I’m not sure what his fumble/carry ratio was, but I bet it wasn’t bad. I think Ivory is a more punishing rusher than Ingram. Ingram has been OK in my book, but overall he hasn’t been near as productive as I expected. I say Ivory deserves a chance.

I like Ivory's running style, too

But Ingram has picked up the pass protection reads and has shown himself to have good hands out of the backfield. It might be deficiencies in those areas that are keeping Ivory from playing time.
