Saints Lock Up Playoff Berth, Set Sights on Second Seed
Say what you want about the man, but thanks to yet another Tim Tebow-led fourth quarter comeback and overtime field goal by the Broncos to take down the Chicago Bears this afternoon, the Saints have now officially locked up a 2011 NFL playoff berth. We're going to the post-season!
The even better news is that the San Francisco 49ers also lost their game this afternoon to NFC division rival Arizona Cardinals, now making them tied with the Saints with a 10-3 record. But the Niners still own the tiebreak by virtue of a better NFC record, so the Saints still need them to lose one more game in order to grab that second overall seed and second round bye.
It's now a battle with San Francisco for that first round bye. Let the real fun begin!

Love it!! Been so busy unpacking into my new home in North Austin. Just got back home from Grocery Shopping. Saw the score from the bears game!
Great News!
But let’s not settle. Let’s fight for the number 2 seed!
Like I said, Today’s win was HUGE!!!

Theres a few different scenarios that could happen but
It seems like the team that wins their last 3 games will be #2. I really don’t see San Fran losing 2 of 3. So that leaves us needing all 3 with SF having one loss to Pittsburgh next week. We’ve lost 3 games to NFC opponents, SF has lost 2. But since all of our remaining games are NFC opponents, both teams losing one game to an NFC team doesn’t change things. It’s going to be an interesting December, and we really need that bye week come January.
Ps.
In hat picture of Jim Harbaugh in the article, it looks like someone just crammed a turkey leg up his wazoo.
San fran plays pitt and has to go to seattle. Their road to the 2 seed is way harder than ours at this point

Nah
Besides Pittsburgh, do you really see them losing to Seattle or the Rams? However for me, almost every Saints game is too close for comfort (cept those blowouts), especially against divisional foes. Atlanta will give us a tough game, even at home – and those Minnesota and Panther games are nothing to look past. Tough road to win out for both teams.
Are u serious?
Did u not watch the playoffs last year? Seattle is a tough place to play regardless of their record.
Our games are all in doors. Atlanta is tough but we are awesome on primetime at home.

No I watch the Saints
and I know for a fact that our supposedly ‘easy’ games never turn out to be easy.

Has the rest of the football world gone blind?
TEBOW on ESPN! TEBOW on NFL Network! TEBOW on Fox Sports! Is anyone else watching? He hasn’t beat anybody! OK! He did beat a Jets team that was in the middle of mass confusion, but when he went up against a Lions team that can score, he was whipped 45 – 10. The Bears D is very good, but their offense is pathetic without Cutler and Forte (and they were suspect with them). You will see this Sunday once again that when they play a team who can score, that he cannot compete. Tough to have a 4th quarter comeback when you’re down 31 – 6!!! Go Brady and destory this Tebow Train (and I’m not a Patriots fan)! Just anti-Tebow!

Hate the media, not Tebow.
Peter King had a good section of his MMQB article today showing that Tebow spent .9% of his time this past week doing interviews. You can’t fault him for the fact that the media wants to do the story. I cannot for the life of me understand the hate directed at a guy that exemplifies just about every single trait that our society views as positive.

Try reading the papers. Or the internets.
I'm a twentieth century man but I don't wanna be here.
Let me clarify
You can’t logically blame Tim Tebow for the fact that some people want to write stories about Tim Tebow.

Of course I can. You are not the boss of me.
Just because he’s laying low for now, that does not mean we will forget the SUPER BOWL commercial he made with his mom or the wonderlic test event or him flaunting his faith in my face every chance he gets. The Mile High Messiah brought all this on himself long before the 4th quarter of 2011.
I'm a twentieth century man but I don't wanna be here.
As long as he keeps doing this, it’s all eyes on him. And Jesus1000.

I'm a twentieth century man but I don't wanna be here.
It’s official, folks. “Tebowing” is now a part of the English language. http://bit.ly/vxhEfI
But Tim Tebow had nothing to do with this.
I'm a twentieth century man but I don't wanna be here.
So you hate the guy because he made a commercial for something he believes in, but not other athletes selling out for any company that will pay them to say their product is good? And for something at the Wonderlic test that didn’t even happen? Gee Stu, its really easy to get on your bad side.
Troy Polamalu has been just as vocal, if not more so, about his faith over the course of his career. Plenty of athletes have been vocal about it. And Polamalu is waaay more Orthodox in his beliefs than Tebow. Why single out Tebow?
"I want to hand this trophy to the MVP of the Super Bowl -- and the MVP of the entire league.''
-- Saints coach Sean Payton, handing the Vince Lombardi Trophy to Drew Brees after Super Bowl 44.
This is how to get on my bad side:
he made a commercial for something he believes in,Make a case that just because a person believes in something, then I have to admire them for having convictions. One of my convictions is to reject this. Do you admire me now?
The Wonderlic test happened. And if I am ever in his presence when he tries to do a Tebow, it will happen again.
I thought Polamalu worshipped volcanoes. That’s the difference. Troy P is not proselytizing.
I'm a twentieth century man but I don't wanna be here.
Volcano worship has long been a way to cull the virgins from the population
(and of course make the other women a bit more friendly).
Does this mean QB’s are virgins? or just the sacrificial ones?
Does Pittsburgh play Denver this year?
I’m not saying you have to admire them, but at least hold one standard. There are some of us that still remember your admiration of Scott Fujita and he was one of the most outspoken supports of abortion rights and gay rights in the NFL. Its what he believes in. Fine. I may not agree with all of it but I’m not going to have less of an opinion of the charitable work he’s done or him as a person. Certainly not going to wish for him to fail because I disagree with his politics.
If you want to say the Wonderlic thing happened, find me one person who was there that’s willing to say it happened. Not some unnamed source, but someone willing to say they saw it. If not, I’m sure I can find some unnamed sources regarding you and Jerry Sandusky.

If they weren’t talking about Tebow, they’d just be talking about the undefeated Packers and whether they can stay undefeated. Pick your poison. Either way, the media’s going to annoy the s*** out of all of us. Only you can control how upset it makes you.

’Frisco’s gotta play the Steelers next week. I don’t think it’s a tall order to ask them to beat the ’9ers.
Then order me a double… I paid for my Playoff tks… by god i want to use them ; )
You know Hartman, goodie-two-shoes is fidgeting around like a one-legged cat trying to bury s#!t on a frozen pond, until old Seth fixes him a couple of pink poontang specials. You know, that crazy drink that I fix for stewardesses? Two shots out of that and Hartman is shot to s#!t, freaked out. I mean, I never saw a guy having so much fun and crying at the same time!

Congrats on your first division title and playoff appearance.
…esp after all your injuries.
Is AJ gonna be back for the playoffs?
Thank you.
They expect him to be back. Apparently he is working out this week but may not be in practice, so probably no sooner than the Colts game (which may be a good one to return in, if he is ready by then).
