Quotations of importance
you know what happens to repeat mistake offenders in this league? They go do what you guys do (in the media). If he would play to their strengths, this might not be a factor.
They make a mistake because for whatever reason they didn’t understand or didn’t know. That’s my job is to do a better job of making sure they understand.Yep, if u want to be labeled a defensive mastermind and run a complicated defense…..this should be the first thing checked off the list.
we play stifling defense for 85 percent of the game,I don’t think “stifling” is the correct word and I don’t think 85% is the correct percentage. Definitely a little too high.
Everyone, however, seems to agree that it will get correctedWe are going into week 15, right?
Good article and at least they will admit they aren’t playing well and recognize that some changes need to be made.
You're such an inspiration for all the ways that I will never, ever choose to be-Maynard James Keenan
play to their strengths,
What exactly are they? Seriously.

Let me rephrase, instead of breaking down strength by position and player.
Put them in a position where they can’t screw up on a consistent basis. Don’t ask them to do things which they are not good at.

I think the only way to avoid this is to get different players.

To succesfully run this scheme...I agree with you
I don’t see our current roster of defensive players having success in this scheme. Although i would say, adding some speed and athleticism at linebacker could change the entire team and how they function together as a whole.

To succesfully run this scheme.
It’s not the scheme.
This is the best defense that can be produced with this personnel. You can’t alter it any further and get better results.
Therefore, curried chicken salad. Top shelf.

Loved it.
Gregg Williams was more animated than usual when he addressed his defense this week – and that’s saying something.
Whodat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if he did that sideline shoulder thing he likes to do during the games
where it looks like he’s adjusting his shirt – seems like I see it multiple times each week – sometimes they’ll show him do both arms right in a row and he has to switch the hand that’s holding his playcall sheet to do it…

I don’t know if it was the “no tolerance” policy, the haircut, or the horrible Vikings offense, but PRob played like a new man yesterday. Two good plays in a row. That’s a new record for him.
I sincerely hope he keeps it up.
It’s not the size of your TOP, it’s how you use it!
