Great game and ...............
I see our Saints finally hitting their stride at just the right time. The only thing I see that I would like more of, is Chris Ivory getting more touches. That dude is totally awesome every time he gets the ball. Other than that, all other aspects of the team is really clicking well and right now I am completely satisfied that we should get really deep in the playoffs. The only concerns I have is playing out doors in the cold but our running game should be able to handle that. KC showed that the Pack has some serious flaws in their defence that my Saints should be able to take advantage of. I smell another Lombardi somewhere around here and it smells really good.

I like how Ivory runs with authority, but my concern is how he holds the ball at times.
I just have an uneasy feeling he is going to have a fumble at a critical time. He has been great so far, but I just can’t shake that feeling. I just feel better if they give the ball to PT in critical situations. Any way I’m glad we are going down the stretch with a stable of good running backs, not like last year with Julious(sp?) Jones. That guy had like one decent game.
as much as I like Ivory, you have to figure when we hit the playoffs, is all our RBs are healthy
Ivory will either be inactive or he will get in the game only if the opponent has shut down all of our 3 other RBs which is unlikely.
Also- my favorite play of the game was Gilmore’s TD- when he bangs into Graham, knocks him out of the way, and says “outta my way fool, I got a TD pass to catch!!!”

I'm torturing a Packers fan in my office today
Today is a great day. Drew Brees should be the MVP. He will be cheated again and the Packers are down 2 offensive lineman. If Pittsburgh beats the 49ers today it will be a great day. BTW Seahawks will beat the 49ers in Seattle mark it down.

And they have a shot making the playoffs again.

From Shutdown Corner
Sunday’s five most valuable players, Week 15
Drew Brees, Quarterback, New Orleans Saints. Despite the amazing year he’s having, Drew Brees has not yet been on any of this season’s five most valuable players of the week lists. I take full responsibility for the mistake, and hope this corrects it somewhat. Drew Brees is a machine and I believe he’d be able to torture the Minnesota secondary just as effectively if the Saints played them 9-on-11. Brees had five touchdowns, 412 yards and no interceptions Sunday. Dan Marino might want to be on-hand to congratulate him next Monday night.

After the 9ers win................
We can only hope the Gulls do upset the 9ers so we can get the #2 seed. Other than that I see us having to play our way to the SuperBowl. Having to go to Candlestick leaves a sour tase in my mouth because their defence is outstanding right now. This might be a tough row to hoe and scares the hell out of me. The again, Brees could have a field day and make it look easy. I really hope so !!!!!
My Magnificent Black and Gold Warriors
Hope so too sly.
would love the hawks upset the 9ers. Well, if it doesn’t happen, we just fight our way and see what we’re made of. 9ers have a very tough defense i agree. They haven’t allowed a rushing TD all season long.

I got curious
so I went back and looked at the ‘9ers schedule this season. The only thing close to a quality win they have is a game against Detroit. They beat the Bengals in Dalton’s 3rd NFL game, the Eagles before everyone realized they were terrible (and still gave up a ton of yards to them) and now the Steelers with no James Harrison and a hobbled Big Ben. Not saying they don’t have a good D or that they’re not a good team. But they’ve gotten a ton of breaks this year and I’m just not convinced their D is good enough to slow down an elite NFL offense, which Pittsburgh was most certainly not on Monday night.
Agreed.
I think it will be tough for us to run against the 9ers. However, I think Brees could light up the field on their secondary.
