Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Things that will happen this weekend.

Brees will reach 4,000 for the sixth consecutive season, tying Peyton Manning's NFL record. He will also reach 39 consecutive games with at least one td and will set a NFL record with 32 consecutive games with at least 20 completions. He will also have his four consecutive year with at least 30 td passes, one short of the record held by Farve with 5. He will have an NFL record 8 30+ completion game, which move over 350 completions for the season for his sixth consecutive season, an NFL record. He also pass 500 attempts.

Jimmy Graham will reach 75 receptions and be just short of 1100 yards receiving. He will also go into double digits on td catches.

Roman Harper will get a sack and 10 tackles and 2 assits, 2 behind the line.

Darren Sproles will get a return for a touchdown and more than 50 yards receiving and rushing.

John Kasay will pass his personal best of 46 PATs in a season.

The defense will score a touchdown and get at least three turnovers.

Final Score New Orleans 55 Detroit 16

I was hoping for some other predictions for you guys and maybe some FUN score predictions.

Forgot this one.

With Suh suspended, a major piece in their run defense will be out. Look for the Saints to have another 200 yard rushing game and 600 yards total. Detroit’s secondary is totally banged up. Three of their starters have missed time this week and at two will be out for Sunday.
I have been trying to tell people the reason for the Tampa Bay and Rams loses was due to offensive line troubles. We had a starting center quit in Tampa and we had players hurt for the Ram game. With all our linemen healthy again, the Saints will not lose another game.
BTW, I don’t blame the Giants defense for Monday night, I credit the Saints offense, which is healthy and running on twelve cylinders with dual four barrel carburators and a turbine.
Look for the Gaints to hold down the Packers and give at least a sweat, if not a loss. The players love Coughlin and his job is in jeopardy. He has to win four of the last five, I think, to save his job.

This could get pretty ugly...in many ways.

I’m not so impressed with the loss of Suh, because he was going to get schooled by Evans and Nicks and del Puente anyway, then let his temper get the better of him and get tossed out anyway.

My concern is the Saints passing D, and their inability to get to the QB, combined with the Calvin Johnson threat, plus Travis Best between the tackles. If they attempt to over blitz and leave Megatron locked in single coverage, and they don’t get to Stafford, Pat Robinson or Jabari Greer will be having whiplash from getting beat down. Plus, they are perfectly capable of giving up tons of yardage through blown tackles, over pursuit, and not-so-timely penalties.

If this game was in fact on the road in Detroit, I’d even be more than worried of a possible upset, since the Lions probably will come into the BenzaDome with chips the size of boulders on their shoulders and revenge for their leader Suh on their mind.

Problem for them is, they have no solution for the Saints O; their DB’s basically suck, they are down to third-string LB’s, and they have no one capable of matching up with Graham, Sproles, AND Colston at the same time. And, as Ajun noted, the O-line finally is getting their act together and gelling as a cohesive unit.

Only question on this one is whether Brees picks them totally clean, or whether PT/Sproles/Ingram gets a chance to bust their mouths.

Since Detroit is worlds better than Indy, they get at least a sniff of a chance initially…before the Saints blow them away right before halftime, and step on the gas in the second half.

45 – 21, Saints.

Travis Best?

If you mean Jahvid Best, he’s on IR.

That's immoral and sadistic Ship,

He will get in a car accident now just because you said that. I am offended. LoL

Hey, maybe you could put up some kind of fanpost about this,

so we could have some civilized discourse on the topic.

Wait…

I’m taking a break from controversial fan post. I’m taking a cue from stujo and embracing peace and tranquility.

Just be careful.

I’m afraid Stu may rupture something.

If Suh stomps a Stanford mascot in the woods, and no one hears it,

does it draw a fine?

In today's NFL

I imagine a referee would be hiding behind a bush somewhere.

And still get the call wrong.

HOLT $***!!!!!

He did get into a car accident!! And, he did hit a tree!!

N_O_1saintfan posted a FanShot about it… I just came on to do it if no one had. I just heard in on NFLN.

Unfortunately… I mean… Fortunately, he was not injured.

by Dan Kelly on Dec 3, 2011 6:36 PM CST up reply actions

Even with all he’s done, he still wouldn’t deserve to get injured. He’s already been suspended. There’s no need to spend the next ten years jonesing for more punishment for him.

I’m just messing around.

He’ll get what he deserves… whether it’s from Roger or another higher power. ;-)

Not necessarily. Mercy does come into play at times. :)

(Fortunately for all of us, by the way.)

Yeah but he didn’t stomp on it. So he still didn’t get it quite right.

by FriarBob on Dec 3, 2011 6:46 PM CST up reply actions

“he didn’t stomp on it”

But, I bet he gave it ‘one of these’. [bumps it with his forearm]

And yet, the Lanterne Rouge never got a prediction right on Cariello's post....

Which seems to be down at the moment—likely banned because of the voting/politics in general thing.

I did see the story before I commented. I have left the whole field of treehugger humor open for Acquired Panic, but he seems not to have taken the “bait”, so to speak.

by Ship on Dec 3, 2011 6:47 PM CST reply actions

Oh… lol

I didn’t know the story was that “old”.

Is that the same thing as a dendrophiliac? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendrophilia_(paraphilia)
