Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

Some Observations Part Trois©

Now I have copyrighted this title, no one else may use it or any other parts of it.

Seems Rodgers and company will be getting a break in Chicago, the weather is going to in the low 30's with some wind. Not normal Christmas weather for Chicago. Detroit has a dome, so no joy there. Rodgers may take the touchdown title.

Reggie Bush is about to break 1000 yard rushing barrier. I have said many times, we were not using him correctly. Though I do like having Darren Sproules.

Darren Sproules is no longer on pace to break the combined yardage record for a running back. He needs a long return to get back on track. He has set new personal bests for rushing attempts and yards as well as receptions and receiving yards.

The Saints are 54 points from a new team scoring mark. They need 43 points to reach 500 points on the season. That will be for the second time.

Jimmy Graham needs 16 receptions and 120 yards to break the receptions and yards record for a tight end. Unfortunately Gronkowski is hot on his heels, just 30 yards behind Jimmy. Gronk is 11 receptions behind Jimmy.

The Packers last two games are at Lambeau

They’re also missing a few OTs and if they can lock up the number one seed, they’ll probably rest Rodgers. I highly doubt he’s getting fifty TDs since he would need ten still.

I stand corrected

I thought their final two games were on the road for some reason. I didn’t check sorry. They may not rest Rodgers, unless the 49’ers lose or they beat the Bears. They haven’t clinched home field yet.

The way the Bears have been playing of late, I wouldn’t be surprised if Green Bay could win with only nine players on the field. Aaron can sit and stay healthy, they’ll just run wildcat all day long and win by three scores.

It's not a problem.

I think they can beat the Bears this week and lock it up. If they do, I would like to see Rodgers rest against Detroit so Suh doesn’t try to decapitate him on the field.

Agreed Charlie

You never know what can happen with Suh on the field. The guy’s a maniac. I was glad he suspended when they played us. I would have been worried about Brees.

I spent 8 years trying to reach him...and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply...Evil.

re : Rodgers

I want the last 2 games to be warm for them. They play in an outdoor field in a cold- weather area, but they haven’t had many cold weather games since Rodgers took over so I don’t want them to get a chance to get used to it.
They are not a team really built for bad weather. They pass really well, don’t particularly run the ball well, and have some serious glitches in their defense.

Unfortunately

Their defensive glitches is in the secondary, which means that in bad weather their front seven would be more in play.

...actually...

…after watching the Bears 3rd stringer gash their defense for well over 120 yards last night, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say the Pack D has issues all over the field. They play like that against the Saints, and it’ll be a long game for Rodgers & company.
