Rivalry? Sure. However as a longtime Falcon fan (seen every season) I have to laugh sometimes at what we in the NFC South call "intense" Make no mistake these are intense games but I don't hate the Saints or any team in the division. "FrozenFinger how have you come to this conclusion? Are you a girly man?"
At one time or another every team in this division has been the acknowledged "worst team in football" And not just the worst team in football...but, one of the worst teams ever. Ever! Remember the movie Tender Mercies? The Horton Foote line Robert Duvall utters? "I don't trust happiness. Never have, never will" That's the NFC South motto. If the Saints win tonight and clich the title our division would again never have had a team win back to back championships. But that's good..until one of us does it.
However look at the Bucs this season. From ten wins last season to ... maybe the worst team in football. No, I don't feel sorry for them but damn! When I get together with my friends who're Saints fans...it's all about the food. I look at how the nation as a whole looks down on the south. I remember a Saints-Falcons game where Steve Mike-Meyer (his brother Nick kicked for a while for the Falcons) missed a kick. The ball landed behind the end zone laying on the field. There were so few people in the stands that a fan jumped out onto the field, picked the ball up and got back into his seat and not only did nobody care but almost nobody noticed!
So, good luck tonight you bastards. I hope we win, but won't cry if your team wins. Why? Crawfish etouffee', fried okra and peach pie.
