Panthers @ Saints: Game Predictions

It's time for our final regular season edition of our weekly prediction contest. But don't be sad, because there will be at least one more contest this season when the playoffs begin. Hopefully another two or three after that.

By now you should all know what to do and how to do it, but just in case you don't, you can catch up on the rules of the game right here. As always, all are welcome to partake, including opposing fans. This is a great opportunity for those readers who have never signed up or commented to finally dip their toe in the water.

Before we get started, we must continue the tradition of acknowledging last weeks winner and today that would be CSC member, Philinwood, who won by a landslide vote. Here are the three predictions that earned him the win, courtesy of your votes:

1) Saints gain 100+ yards rushing
2) Saints have at least one kick runback (punt or kickoff return) for over 50 yards.
3) Saints recover at least one Falcons fumble

Now let's get this party started!

I just have to back up my mission with predictions and thanks for reminding me.

I had meant to add, that this was more wish than credible but it is just sooo important to me for us to put a way the division this season. The Panthers worry me probably more than any other division opponent…let me rephrase, Cam worries me. We need to put our stamp on this division now. If not, next year the Pants could be a real pain. Zero would go a long ways towards doing that. Besides, what’s the point of whimpy predictions?

And, I swear, I didn’t smoke any today.

Saints by 23

1. Junior Galette has at least 2 sacks. Cam’s fast, but Junior is smart and fast.
2. Today Cam is deeply in a bind and throws at least 2 interceptions.
3. Brees throws no less than 225 yards and at least 2 TD’s and maintains the record for most passing yards in a season. Brady has shoulder problem. ( I really think they are just saying this for in case he doesn’t break Drews record.), a likely excuse from Belechick. I think Brees gets it either way.
Lagniappe: The Rams want everyone to know that they are not in need of Andrew Luck. They are satisfied with Sam Bradford and he is not the problem in the offense. Their draft choices will be other than the QB position. They are not competing for the bottom spot and wins the game 17-14. Also, Bradford gets over 300 yards passing. WHO DAT!

by tommy v on Dec 30, 2011 9:20 PM CST reply actions

Tommy, even if they’re satisfied with Bradford, they could trade down with the Colts or anyone else interested in Luck, thereby landing additional players/picks and still draft the early first round non-QB they’re after.

Even moving down one spot holds 2nd round value on those charts. Of course, if the Colts lose to Jacksonville, I seriously doubt they’ll be looking to move down.
