Happy New Year to Football Fans One and All
As the regular season comes to a close and the start of a new year is looming for everyone. Just wanted to wish all Saints Fans (as well as any visitors from around the world wibe web of tubes) a very happy and prosperous new year. And as most people are busily setting their resolutions for the coming year and look toward the fresh start (for those of us who have will power that is), it is also a good time to reflect back on what has transpired in the past.
So I thought to myself, why not have a little post for fans to share their favorite (or if you are a "the glass is half empty" type of personality your least favorite) Saints moment of 2011. But please, feel free to not stop there. What better way to get to know your fellow CSC'ers than to share your top personal moment of 2011 as well.
Let's start 2012 on a perfect note with a win over those Panthers (even better if the Rams upset the 49ers).
This FanPost was written by a reader and member of Canal Street Chronicles. It does not necessarily reflect the views of CSC and its staff or editors.

I'm going to color outside the lines a bit here
And offer Grumps a Happy New Year! Burger:

It’s a year old, but I’m sure it’s fine to eat…
I just had a rap with Santa and we took us a little stroll
And all I want for Christmas is the Saints in the Super Bowl
I'm like butter...on a roll
here’s another burger – but it’s really a bed!!

Hmmmmm
Least Favorite: Chris Long….yep I hate you.
Most Favorite: Falcons Monday Night Massacre (DVD special in the making?)

Now let me follow the directions
I am a “glass half-full” kinda guy by nature, so:
Favorite Saints Moment – 4th down stuff of Atlanta in Ga. Dome. (I really didn’t think they would be able to do it, but they ROSE UP and did it!!)
I’ll offer a worst moment, too:
In St. Louis, on October the 30th, Saints down 24-14, and on 1st and 10 with 3:01 in the game, Drew Brees throws a pick 6 to D. Stewart that puts the Rams up 31-14 – UGH and GAAAAAH!!!!
I’ll close with this - THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR, Y’ALL!!!

That's an awfully interesting point you make, Hans.
Everyone was saying how Smith feared the Saints offense. Ha! I think you pegged it. He did NOT fear our defense and, man, did he pay and do I love it.
Whodat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the Saints continue this exibition of excellence
I’M GONNA’ NEED A BIGGER GLASS!!!
I wish a very happy new year to one and all. Can’t wait to join the Saints’ game thread on February 5, 2012!!!

Least fave is way too easy.
Fave: crushing the Falcons at home…and Drew’s breaking the record. But, there are so many! Happy New Year, everyone!
Grumps, as host, you can still participate. Hard to believe your prediction is your fave moment.
Whodat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happppppppy Newwwww Yearrrrrrrrrr everybody.
My weekend on duty, so gotta work all weekend. While I won’t be able to imbibe, I will be able to watch the game, then head straight back to work. It’s all good though, because holidays are double time.
My worst, believe it or not was the Tampa loss. Of course I’m being a little selfish here, because I predicted we would sweep our division. The Rams, game doesn’t bother me so much, because I think it was needed to wake the team the F*** up.
My favorite, blowing up the Falcons, to get Drew that record.
Another highlight for the year was I got to meet Mr. Dave.Hee,he.

I may also go looking for a bucket of striped paint or try to find one of those “sky hooks” (my Dad said those were two things he was asked to fetch in one of his first summer jobs as a teenager on an oil rig (or some other big boat in the Gulf)

We sent a worm to look for the pipe strecher on our rig more than once.
Worm = rookie in oilfield jargon.

My Magnificent Black and Gold Warriors
A very happy New Year to each and everyone of you.
I have to say my favorite moments (plural) of the year was when the Saints kept getting better and better after that Rams loss. And they will continue on throughout the SB.
Worst favorite moment was watching Olin Kruetz walk off the team because it was a job to him. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Poor soul, good luck in finding a non job in the future. OK, really, worst moment was when Sean Payton was injured and up in the booth and didn’t come down to the locker room and join the team for halftime. To me, if he would have went down there, it would have motivated the team more and we would be in alot better shape than we are now.
On a side note. I’m a Saints fan of course. But in all honesty, I don’t see any team that is playing more consistant, heads up, determined, hungry, want it all NFL football like our New Oleans Saints are playing. You know what? 2009 was great, but I see an even greater 2011, or should I say 2012. I sense big time that we will win this SB for the simple fact that we have no challenge that could stay with us. New England will be in the SB, but it’s ours.
least favorite Saints moment?
seeing Sean Payton get hobbled
favorite Saints moment?
Brees breaking Marino’s record
Happy day to you and the fam, burger man.
-Lombardi was wrong...it's the internet, not fatigue that makes cowards of us all. But then again, what do you expect. Not like the guy could see the future.
