Welp!! Patrick Robinson atoned for the mental error that he or Malcolm Jenkins committed to allow the long catch and run by Titus young to let the Lions get into scoring range at the end of the half with his block of Jason Hanson's 43-yard FG attempt. Maybe he jumped offsides first, but it wasn't called, so just accept it and move on.
Overall, the Saints offense has had its way with the Detroit defense, as Drew Brees has been well-protected and had time to throw 2 TDs already on 16 of 21 completions for 243 yards. Meachem has two catches for 102 yards and a long TD that featured some smooth moves. The ground attack hasn't been too shabby, either, as the Saints have gained 65 yards and a TD on 12 carries for an average of 5.4 yards a carry.
Defensively, they have thus far successfully taken Calvin Johnson out of the game, but they have given up some yards along the way, and relative effortless 80-yard TD drive in the second quarter. The strategy to drop lots of men into coverage seems to be working so far, but with the Lions getting the ball to start the second half, a quick defensive stop is definitely in order.
