Saints @ Titans: Da Chronic's Podcast Preview
In this mega-podcast Dave tells Saints fans to quit their bitching about the defense because the team is 9-3 people! He also explains to Ralph how the 2011 run defense is exactly the same as 2010 so Ralph needs to look into his heart to figure out why it feels so much worse.
Kevin wonders why the NFL must make America suffer through Madonna while Andrew Juge of The Saints Nation explains how the Saints defensive line is having the perfect convergence of career worst seasons, how Gregg Williams is trying every defense he can dream up, and why somebody needs to tell Shaun Rogers to stop being fat and lazy.

I think (hope?) he's pointing out the mispelling...

Wait. Did I just mispell misspelling?
Ugh.

Except she was awful. If we have to go there, let’s go with Lita Ford.

Used to have Beatles A to Z on vinyl
But they were stolen. Thinking about buying the Anthology set tho.

Saints’ Opponent Rushing Yards per Game
2011 = 114.6 (16th)
2010 = 114.5 (18th)
Saints’ Opponent Yards per Rush Attempt
2011 = 4.9 (30th)
2010 = 4.4 (19th)
so it’s not that much different but it feels so much worse in 2011? Perhaps I’m just crazy
"Saints fans should be sending Paul Tagliabue primo Hollywood quality hookers monthly for the remainder of his life"---Andrew Juge
and we’re giving up fewer first downs to the rush…
of course that 8 yard cushion + 7 yard back-peddle means teams are throwing on us more… and the stats bare that out.
Teams are throwing the ball more against us because they have no choice.
If they want a shot at defeating us, they have to throw to keep up with our fast, high powered, yard mowing, touchdown machine Brees.
I am over 50 and yes, I've heard of Pearl Jam
I’ve heard of STP , Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana. I also remember Wishbone Ash from the 70’s. ( one of the few things I do remember ) I also remember when audio quality on a podcast was much better…jeez guys
Haha!
Agreed on the audio quality.

I had a feeling you’d enjoy that… that’s one of my favorites.
I’ve seen them in concert, in NOLA, on Halloween – about 15 years ago.
Saw them recently at the House of Blues in NOLA
They are still bringing it after all these years.

memory flashback
1970, I’m 13 years old and some kid has moved in across the street.
Kid: So Stu, what kind of music do you like?
stujo4: Uh… I like the Beatles.
Kid: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!! Oh man, that’s f***** up! BEATLES!!! HA HA HA!!
stujo4: (hurt and defensive) So who do YOU like?
Kid: Ides of March!! “I’m your vehicle, bay bay!”
stujo4: (silence)
I think we can all learn a lesson from this true story.
I'm living for giving the Devil his due
holy crap
I always thought that was Blood Sweat and Tears
who in the heck are the Ides of March?

Here you go. Interesting trivia:
Fourteen seconds of the completed “Vehicle” master tape (primarily the guitar solo) was accidentally erased in the recording studio. The missing section was spliced in from a previously discarded take.

OK
I’d heard of the Shon-Dels. Didn’t know they were The Ides of March.

I like a lot of differnet kinds of music: Metal, Rock, Country, some Rap, some Pop, and many others. Industrial Metal is just one small section of a large pie.
But, the Beatles… no thanks.
Can’t Buy Me Love is just about their only listenable song.

His distant relative David (“Satch”) doesn’t think much of Neil Young. Just an FYI.

Neil had some good music ... then he had to go and get personal.

I had 4 older brothers who liked to go to parties and “borrow” their friends’ records, which I then listened to. In 1964 (age 7), I was listening to German pressings on the Odeon label, in stereo, of both Please Please Me and With The Beatles. Downside: The liner notes were in German. Ft Riley was nearby, and a doggie probably brought them back with him from duty in Germany (Big Red 1!! Big Red 1!!) Flash forward to just a few years ago:
stujo4: Hey, remember when you brought home that Kinks album? (Greatest Hits, 1966) I liked to watch the Reprise steamboat logo on the label go around and around on the turntable. Loved that record.
dickjo: They only had 2 or 3 good songs.
stujo4: WHAT? The KINKS? They had a LOT of good songs.
dickjo: Not really, just 2 or 3.
stujo4: GAA!!
Time to play B-sides
that's old
Is the album oblong or is that just a optical illusion.

Man you are killing me.
My whole collection of vinyl was stolen. I’ve replaced most of what I had with CD’s where available, but it just not the same. The Album covers alone were worth a lot of money.

I don’t miss vinyl. Pulled out my turntable a while back and the surface noise on a fairly new record was terrible. Limited dynamic range. I’ll take a well mastered CD at a high sampling/bit rate (whatever it is) any time.
Time to play B-sides
No but I had quite a collection
And like I was saying the monetary value from a collectors stand point was high. I like the CD sound better, but it’s taken me quite a while to build back my collection. Also a lot of titles are hard to find. Took me forever to find Bread for example. Another plus for CDs is I can make copies to listen to and save the originals for future copies when the copy gets scratched.
