Saints Waive P.J. Hill and Marcus Mailei
It appears the Saints have decided to part ways with running back P.J. Hill and fullback Marcus Mailei.
Adam Caplan from FoxSports.com just tweeted the news not too long ago...
Saints waived RB P.J. Hill. He was on IR last season (triceps).
Then Larry Holder broke a little news of his own via Twitter...
Saints also waived FB Marcus Mailei today. He also spent the 2010 season on IR.
The loss of P.J. Hill is disappointing. The former Wisconsin Badger looked solid during training camp last year and some of us hoping to see an improved running game next season thought Hill could help the situation. He'll probably be back, though.

So we're left with
Reggie Bush – who need to severely restructure and stay healthy
Pierre Thomas – who needs to sign a contract and stay healthy
Chris Ivory – has ability but finished up on IR
Lynell Hamilton – starting to see a theme here??
And the “who knows crew” ; Joique Bell, Julius Jones, DeShawn Wynn, Chris Taylor,Ladell Betts
Anyone else concerned?

Concerned...
Reggie — seems almost afraid of the ball and likes to dance like Barry Sanders, if we could convert his side to side yards to up the field he would be AWESOME!!
Chris Ivory — runs great but seems to be as fragile as a Detroit quarterback.
Pierre Thomas — once hes healthy hopefully gets back to true form and pound out some yards.
Yeah so a lil bit of concern :P

Meh, guess they weren’t happy with his rehab process.

I wouldn't be upset with letting PT go
after drafting Ingram in the first round
but SP won’t take a RB that early

question
How many times was Pierre Thomas waived and resigned before he finally stuck and became a productive member of the Saints? boom

I don't think he was
He beat out a 4th round pick as an undrafted rookie FA. I don’t remember him getting cut.
Peyton, I can eat Oreos faster than you!!!!
I dont remember him getting cut either.

ok then
So stop wringing your hands about PJ Hill. It’s not going to happen in the NFL.

LOL
That was the moral of your boom? Hill already HAS gotten waived and brought back, you know. With a stop in Philly in between.

That’s what I’m saying: Stop thinking PJ Hill can be a starting RB in the NFL. Or even a backup.

I like PT but I am not sure why he gets a free pass on being injury prone
played in 47 games since 2007. Meanwhile Reggie has played in 44 over that same time frame. As far as I am concerned both break easier than glass
We can't win at home. We can't win on the road. I just can't figure out where else to play!
