"Golly, I sure am excited about Arena Football." I sure hope you are, little boy, because it's what you're gonna be stuck watching on Sundays. But whatever happens, there
definatley probably could be a draft. And the compensatory picks have been given out, and we got 2. So fasten your seatbelt, try to stop crying about how miserable we'll all be in the fall (I understand if you aren't able to do that one part) and get ready for the ride of your life. Without further ado, here's the mock draft of the century decade year month week day hour minute!
Round 1- Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA- Who's more trustworthy, Alex Brown or Scott Shanle? Both should be replaced in FA when it's restored or one of our first 2 rounds, but Akeem Ayers is to good to pass on here.
Round 2- Allen Bailey, DE, Miami- If we lose Free Agency, we need to choose a DE here. Allen Bailey could fit our scheme well.
Round 3(2) (let's say we trade the 1st one for a 4th and 5th round pick) Drake Nevis, DT, LSU- Shaun Rogers? Forget that guy. Drake Nevis could bench press 2 Shaun Rogers. Plus, Rogers isn't a long term solution, while Nevis could be.
Round 4- Bilal Powell, RB, Louisville- I've written why we need to draft this guy more times than I've written my own name. Here's that link again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKERqz7G3UU
Round 5- Ras-I-Dowling, CB, Virginia- Not a huge need, but a steal in the 5th round.
Round 7- Byron Stingily, OT, Louisville- This one's just straight from the heart. No brain ivolved whatsoever. But, his stock is rising after a good pro day, and we could use a backup to replace Zach Streif.
Compensatory- Alex Henery, K Nebraska- I don't trust Garret Hartley at all. There, I said it.
Compensatory(2)- Pete Hendrickson, OT, Tulane- Competition for all OT's. Now they'll work even harder to make the team.
