Maybe he's talking about the broken links?
Even the “more” button is broken.
I took Duncan to mean that he has been offended that bloggers brag about essentially taking over journalism by posting news and information quickly via the internet, but without the disciplines of real journalism.
Plenty of room for arguing here. Show me a blogger who tries to present the facts without injecting personal bias. Then show me a “real” journalist who doesn’t present the facts shaded by his personal bias while insisting he’s an objective journalist.
Anti-rec’d for the broken link and the self-promotion.
You can cover up your guts, but when you cover up your nuts you're admitting that there must be something wrong.
Even though I couldn't read it, I just sensed it
I’m a very active amateur club tennis player,
This is why I avoid blogs.

With Stu, who knows anymore.

He uses… sarcasm. He knows all the tricks…dramatic irony, metaphor, bathos, puns, parody, litotes and satire. He’s vicious.
Shut that bleeding door!
I mean no harm to those who do not post crap or crap comments.

You realize that I posted this, right?
You got a problem with my posts?

I do.
Some of Andrew’s link are broken. Furthermore….
I know he’ll read this"
I also hate self-promoting, specially when I feel someone is getting a way too easy ride because of YOUR efforts.
Repeat? Under construction...
Some of Andrew’s link are broken.
Stu said something similar but I’m still not sure what this means.
As far as this particular FanShot is concerned, I thought Jeff Duncan’s comments on Twitter were completely idiotic and I told him as much myself on Twitter…
CSCtweet
@moosedenied hey, the Times-Pic will always be my favorite tablecloth for crawfish boils! @jeffduncantp
I would have written a similar post about Duncan’s pompous remark (he could have easily tauted his mainstream media journalist cronies without ragging on what we do here) myself but, again, I only have so much time. Andrew did, I liked that he stepped up to the plate and I posted it.
Just so we’re all on the same page as it relates to CSC as a whole, I invited Andrew to write for us because I need help and Andrew has two of the most important and rarest qualities a blogger needs to have…commitment and consistency. I’ve set goals for him each week and each week he comes through.
I apologize if some, most or all of you have a problem with this. But there are really only two options: acknowledge that I can’t fully meet the time and commitment requirements needed for CSC anymore, remove myself completely and face complete uncertainty for the future of our community (something I didn’t want to do nor did I think you guys would have wanted) or seek help (which is what I’ve obviously chosen).
Every decision as it relates to CSC, good or bad, is my doing and my responsibility. Any problem you have with Andrew or Jon or Hans or Satch, you really have with me, not them. You can blame me. It’s cool, I can take it.
I hope that clears things up and provides a better understanding of where we stand. If you’d like, we can use this thread to further discuss the state of our community. Let’s have it out. I applaud your straightforwardness and honestly, French. That sarcastic, subversive, wiseguy crap that some of our members enjoy using as a tool to express displeasure is childish, obnoxious and a waste of my precious g-damned time (you know who I’m talking about).
Thank you for the kind words about my efforts. I truly appreciate them.

For the sake of CSC
I hope this lockout ends soon…

Dave,
I for one applaud your efforts here. It has to be a huge investment of your personal and professional time to ride herd on this gaggle of cats – having moderated a discussion board for bassists for a long time, and being the admin for one specifically about the products that my company makes presently, I know what it takes to keep even a bunch of like-minded and generally reasonable individuals on the path. With some of the characters that populate this place, you must want to pull your hair out…wait…too late! ;-)
Those that undercut your efforts, and the efforts of those that assist you here, are worthy of at least our ignoring them, if not our active scorn (which is wasted, because in the end that just feeds their need for attention, and that’s what their back-biting is all about anyhow).
Keep up the good work, and thank you again for all the time and effort you put into administering this site, and still managing to run a business and have a marriage.
Who Dat? TWO DAT! Do dat AGAIN!!!

I'm calling self-promotion here
“having moderated a discussion board for bassists”
Another blog to avoid, Stu.
It was good while it lasted.

boom rec'd it
Duly noted.
It all looks fine to the naked eye, but it don't really happen that way at all.
Weird...
When I hit the link of this Fanshot I get this URL and all the “More from the Saints Nation” part on Andrews page isn’t working:
When I access Andrews’s page through a research in Google, I end up on the same page but it’s not the same URL and everything works fine:
Since it’s been obvious for a while that you are on an “auditionning” mode, I tend to pay particuliar attention on what your “candidates” post. I may miss some of their stuff as I don’t read everIything like I use to (I’m down to 90%) but I still keep a cautious eye on there body of work because I want CSC to stay the fun, informative and quality place I found in 2008. Being in a very rough spot at the time, CSC was the only daily thing I was looking forward to. That’s probably why I care so much about this place.
I fully understand that you can’t do this forever and I’m very thankful you did so far. I’m also very glad you’ll be the one picking from the bullpen instead of SB Nation assigning somebody but I’m a bit nervous our next “sheppard” won’t have some of the qualities you have. For example, I’ve got nothing against Andrew but I’m not use to my chief blogger being pretentious as in “I know he’ll read this” quote about Jeff Duncan at the end of his article.
And for the record, I don’t think Duncan hates every blogger. Won’t he be a guess on Steven Bennett podcast May 3rd?
Dallas….Do you love Sean Payton so much you had to follow him?
Repeat? Under construction...
Both of those links takes me to the same working page

Same problem with the first link.
The links at the bottom of that page don’t work. Oh well….
Repeat? Under construction...
Both links work for me.
For example, I’ve got nothing against Andrew but I’m not use to my chief blogger being pretentious as in "I know he’ll read this" quote about Jeff Duncan at the end of his article.
I don’t see him being pretentious, in fact, he’s making a joke about how Duncan will be a pompous ass about the situation. Because when Andrew tweets out the link to his post, people will read it and Duncan will want to read something bashing him. People with big egos do that.
Canal Street Chronicles-A place of great Saints news and information. Oh and the stuff I write!
I must admit...
I thought he was serious. I’m still not sure Duncan will read it though….
Repeat? Under construction...
Self-promotion
I didn’t see Andrew’s mention of tennis as self-promotion at all. He was simply setting up an analogy in personal terms. Blogs are inherently personal. I haven’t read a single blog yet, on any subject, where one refers to oneself in disembodied terms, emptied of all personal experience and reference.
It was good while it lasted.
I shall save this thread...
with a picture of a laid back three toed sloth!

All of you seriously need to hug it out.
