Rookie/Wildcard Survivor
First off, the results from the Defense:
1. Harper (16)
2. Hargrove (8)
3. Ayodele (3)
4. Shanle (3)
5. Sharper (3)
6. Young (3)
7. Wilkerson (2)
8. Again a tie for the last spot with 1 vote each, Jeff Charleston and Chris Reis...this one is too close for a coin flip so I'll throw both into the "wildcard" category in this post.
For this edition, we'll go with which rookies your think will make the 53-man roster by opening day (whenever that may be). Some of them might make the practice squad, but this is going to be just the actual roster. I'm not sure of the actual numbers, but we'll say that 2 of them won't make the roster by opening day (again maybe go on the practice squad), so we'll take 4 of the 6 rookies that get the most votes in our poll. I'm going to take Jordan and Ingram out of the equation, because we are likely going to keep our first round picks. We'll also throw in the 2 players from the defense that were tied for 8th and 1 player leftover from the offense for this poll, top 4 rookies plus top wildcard win. Here are our contestants:
| 3 | 72 | Martez Wilson | LB | Illinois |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 88 | Johnny Patrick | CB | Louisville |
| 7 | 226 | Greg Romeus | DE | Pitt |
| 7 | 243 | Nate Bussey | LB | Illinois |
(Wildcards):
Jeff Charleston
Chris Reis
Heath Evans (he's back)
So there you have it, I'll try one more finale next time given the number of spots left from people leaving and the other free agents/UDFA's that are out there. But for now, VOTE! and also, any suggestions for Free Agents to include?

The only rookie that won’t make the roster is Romeus, but that’s only because he’ll be placed on injured reserve in order for him to finish healing properly where he’ll be evaluated next season. Where ….if he comes back to even 70% of his former self…will make the roster then.
"Winter is coming"
yeah and now looking abck it’s usually only 1 of the rookies that don’t make it, and you’re probably right about Romeus too, we should just take our time with him and let’em heal
THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!
I must have missed the defensive thread. Hargrove getting more than double the votes Ayodele did surprises me.

Yep, right here, I think it might have been deceptive seeing as there was only 2 character’s difference in the title

It shouldn’t…you’re the only person I’ve ever seen actually stick up for Ayodele besides myself on very rare occasions.

Just saying, even if you don’t pay much attention to the DL, wouldn’t it stand to reason that Ayodele was the starter because … oh, I don’t know … maybe he was the better of the two?

Concur. Voted for Remi. Quarterbacks aren’t exactly shaking in their cleats at the mention of his name, but that body of his sure fills up a gap against the run.
Ayodele was having a career year to start the season
Then kind of fell off towards the end. I vote to keep him as well
Peyton, I can eat Oreos faster than you!!!!
Was it Ayodele or Charleston that stripped Michael Turner on the goal line? I want to say they both had similiar type strips, just don’t recall who the other opponent was or which was which.

Pretty sure it was Charleston. Some how plays always happen around him.

Yeah, that was a stupid statement. It wont be my last.

but really,
both of them seem to always be around when fumbles occur and what-not

I don't remember who stripped it
But Ayodele blocked a FG against the VIkings in the season opener. If he could’ve maintained that level of play all year, he would’ve made the Pro Bowl, imo. Trails off at the end of the year, and now we get Shaun Rogers. Such is the life of an NFL player.

I don’t think it helps that we have pretty much zero training camp to base this off of
