Reading the title of that, his response is a little more understandable. “In Defense Of…” might of gotten a similar response no matter who the player is.

well i didn't exactly find

Dave’s story too defending for Shanle but more about how other people didn’t like him. Dave did say he liked him and wanted him to stay but as a backup and with a paycut. Can’t blame Shanle for being upset over that and throwing some things out there like that

also one of those things he threw out isn't exactly right

he was the leading tackler in 06 but not every year since. Maybe it was just a typo/misunderstanding

“Tackles” stats are fuzzy. The Saints have different figures than NFL.com. He might be referring to the source that favors him.

and I think he might have meant that

if you add all the years together, he has the most tackles, not necessarily that he led the team EACH season…
