Starting RB is Ingram's job to lose
Brian Allee-Walsh: Consequently, the depth chart at running back on May 1 probably looks something like this:
-- (1) Mark Ingram (his job to lose).
-- (2) Pierre Thomas (recovering from ankle surgery)
-- (3) Chris Ivory (recovering from Lisfranc surgery)
-- (4) Reggie Bush (currently recovering from draft shock and bruised ego)
-- (5) Lynell Hamilton (coming off reconstructive knee surgery)
The top three spots might be interchangeable at this point of the offseason in terms of the lead back, but Ingram gets the unofficial nod after going all out for NFL scouts, coaches and general managers during the past few months of the draft process.

So wait
Doing stuff for scouts affects your position on the depth chart? Bombshell. Someone should really alert more players to this. Get out there and wow those scouts so you can get that starting gig, fellas. Don’t need to take a rep in practice or anything. Sweet.
