OK I don't know if we have any chance of getting to 1000 comments on this thread, but stranger things have happened.  We've covered movies and actors just about to death I think.  So let's try it again, but this time let's look at authors, books and book quotes.

As with the previous thread, please list out:

1) Your top 5 (or more) authors.  (And if you can't figure out five to list, you need to read more!)

2) Your top 5 (or more) books and/or series of books.  (Ditto with above, there has to be at LEAST five that you can think of... right?  Or else once again you need to read more.)

3) At least some of your favorite quotes from books.  (I'm sure we could go on for years on these... assuming, of course, you don't need to read more...)

And of course please feel free to post pictures as well.
