In a move that should delight some Saints fans and annoy others, the Saints have re-signed starting linebacking Scott Shanle to a two-year deal. The news comes Scott Shanle himself:

Looking forward to wearing the black and gold for 2 more years!! Excited to get to stay home! We have more championships to get! Cant wait

Not surprising since the Saints needed some veteran blood among the rookie linebackers and Shanle has been with the organization for five years so he knows the scheme already. He'll have a chance to keep his starting job on the outside and unfortunately for some Shanle antogonists, I think he will. The move makes sense, I just hope it isn't the only remaining linebacker move the Saints make.

Gotta say, I can deal with 2 million a year for him.
