Saints Sign Jo-Lonn Dunbar
This wasn't surprising news. Jo-Lonn Dunbar was a restricted free agent so the Saints could easily re-sign him. News comes from Mike Triplett:
#Saints Coach Sean Payton said Saints have re-signed Scott Shanle, Jo-Lonn Dunbar, Chris Reis, in addition to players we knew about already.
Dunbar was a starting linebacker for half of the 2010 season and didn't perform that badly. The Saints are giving him another chance to come back and earn his job. However, Dunbar has also been an important special teams player, making his biggest impact in a Vikings game in 2008.
The Saints have proven over this entire off-season that they plan to improve the special teams so this could be a player they hope to keep to either improve defense or special teams. Either way, I like this move.

Let me be the first to say
Every move is not front page stuff. But like most front office moves, this is a good one.

I agree for a few of reasons.
1. He proved he can fill in and start
2. Excels at special teams
3. Experience under GW’s exotic defense

Again, great move.
Dunbar belongs with this team. He is a good player and I see him getting even better.
